I have a bit of experience with this so let me elaborate. I am in college and EVERY girl has snapchat. What snapchat is is an application where you add your friends' usernames, which allows you to send either a stilll picture or short video. You can designate how long this image is viewable to them. For example, if you set it to 6 seconds, they can only view it for 6 secs before it disappears forever. Videos i believe can be up to 10 seconds long. You can write a short text that appears across the picture or video. For example "this is my new dog buddy", with a pic of your new dog buddy. You choose which of your contacts to send this snap to. It can be one girl or 30 people that you select.
The catch to this is that while the snaps dissapear, you can "screenshot" them and save them to your phone. HOWEVER, this alerts the person that you have screenshotted them
Some DJ Tips for Snapchat:
1) Story - There is what is called a Story. When you take a snap, you have the option to post it to your Story, which is almost like a feed. Any of your friends can view the snaps on your story, but your story is cleared after 24 hours. This can be useful to build social proofs. Take videos of yourself at cool parties or clubs, or surrounded by your friends having a good time, and post them to your story so girls know you are social and well liked.
2) Nudies - the obvious implication is that this is a great app for nudes. AND IT IS. Girls are suprisingly open to sending nudes over this. Its a great app for flirting, and girls feel more "safe" because the snap disappears after a few seconds. However they usually make it clear that they want "no screenshot". You can even send short dirty videos...what's not to like?
3) They know when you open it - Similar to Kik or Facebook chat, they can see when you've opened a snap that they sent to you. Use this to your advantage and don't open them right away. A general rule is wait as long as it took for her to open your last snap to her before opening hers (or longer). The same goes for how long you reply.
4) Content of your snaps - Be careful not to send stupid snaps of you sitting around bored saying stuff like "boring day today" with a picture of you watching TV or whatever. People do this and it's lame. Similar to facebook status updates, avoid snaps where you seem bored or complaining. The occasional "bored in class, entertain me" snap is OKAY because you have to be there. Pay attention to the lighting of your shots and obviously take snaps that make you look attractive. Send snaps of you doing exciting things, traveling, partying, etc. Food snaps should be avoided in general, HOWEVER, if you are a great cook, and your dishes look really good, it's not a bad idea to post pics of that. This prob sounds weird to people but i'd say literally 50% of everyone's snapchats involve the food they're eating. It's just a thing, deal with it.
5) Personal vs Mass - There are two kinds of snaps: those that you send to a whole bunch of people that are very obviously mass snaps, such as "look at this view at the grand canyon", and more personal ones like "hey sarah, guess what?". Use impersonal ones to build social proof, and personal ones to build attraction. IN ADDITION, i normally dont reply when a girl sends me an impersonal one. She's likely fishing for guys' attention and im not gonna play into that. However, if she sends me a personal one, i'll send a personal one back (or even push for sexual stuff)
Much of the same principles that apply to text game apply here. Be mysterious. Send open ended snaps like "guess what?", stuff that makes her reply. I came up with a game where i make her pic a number 1, 2, or 3 and then send a picture of me either fully clothed, in my undies, or nude (avoid this if you're out of shape). Stuff like that. Make it fun. Don't send her the usual snaps that every guy does.
