"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Hi, i am new to the forum, and i have already made a search and i find out that women are more attracted to average looking guys who smile rather than good looking smiles who don't.

Througout my life, i never really smiled, because i thought my teeth looked weird, i was always upset/angry about something.

Then it changed, 1-2 years ago i started smiling at girls, and this girl i was interested in. She then sometimes said "why are you always smiling" and stuff while staring at my teeth and i can read her face thinking eww those teeth.
This is the same B*tch that used me for help in hw and now she has a b/f and whatever. (she has a reputation of using guys for hw)
THAT same year when i was with my good friend working in the library, i laughed at one of his jokes and he said "eww guy your teeth are as yellow as the book pages in this book" and the book pages were yellowish brown. I ran to the washroom and looked at my teeth and they were pretty discolored.
I know i know, how come i didn't find out about this sooner? well the funny part is that my bathroom walls are YELLOW painted, and the mirror is really not so clear and smudged. so it is hard to see if my teeth are off white and whatever.

i immediately brought like crest white strips and it solved the problem lol.

anyways, my teeth are good looking now. I find that if i smile SHOWING teeth looks better than smiling like a grin (trying to hold in laughter kind of grin).

I find that when i smile (the grin one) while making eye contact, the girls usually respond by giving the same GRIN back, NO teeth. and i dunno whether that is a sign of interest or they are just polite.

i know, to solve this problem is to smile with teeth, the kind of smile like "having a good time" or "im happy about life" kind of smile.

but the thing is, i find it very difficult to smile with teeth at girls im intersted (usually girls on the street/bus classroom etc)
I don't know whats wrong, im guessing im afraid of being shotdown like i give them a showing teeth smile and they will look away or give me a weird look or i will make them feel awkward. Maybe that kind of smile is not appropriate for women in malls, bus, or class?

anyways, i need help or tips on how to smile with my teeth. I already accomplished establishing eye contact, and giving a grinning smile at girls on the street. Please help! thanks!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Smiling is a problem I have.

I have a Jay Leno type jaw...an underbite (bottom front teeth come up further ahead of my top teeth like Beavis).

I mean my chin isn't anything close to Leno's...but my smile is all f*cked up dudes. My unique jaw really is noticeable when I try to smile because the fact that my bottom jaw sticks out ahead of my top jaw becomes clearly exposed, and the result is a really screwed up, evil looking smile..it's pretty ugly because my lips don't part very evenly for the smile.

I can get around this somewhat by only showing the top part of my teeth and doing half a smile, but then it just looks plain stupid.

It's a big friggin mess...so I basically never smile at anyone...unless I'm laughing in which case I'm forced to. I just smirk instead. When I walk around with a regular expression on my face though, I look like one evil mother f*cker, when I'm not even trying to. I owe it all thanks to my underbite.

I'm never getting jaw surgery either because I feel unique with this jaw, plus there's no f*ckin way I'll wear a brace around my mouth on and off for two years.

Only downside is lack of smiling. Oh well.

eh...well maybe you should get surgery if you care so much. Besides, you're not unique, my friend has the same problem, and so does one of my relatives...they're both getting the surgery/braces to fix it. I also had a terrible smile with underbite a few years ago. I got braces (and had them for 3.5yrs), and now I have a great smile.

Why not?

But if you're not going to get it fixed, who cares if it "looks ugly or crooked" when you smile. Sure, it's cliche but beauty is subjective. I personally don't think anyone can be ugly when they're smiling.

Smile more often dude, enjoy yourself, who gives a flying fcuk if anyone else thinks it's ugly or not. All this "it looks stupid" is just in your head man...just smile and don't hold back just because of what others may 'think' of it.

You could die tomorrow.

to xeon: don't fake it. If a smile doesn't come naturally, don't force it...that sounds like what you're trying to do. Smile naturally...people can tell when you're forcing one. I know I can.

If you're having trouble, maybe you're not in a good mood? I know when I'm in a good mood I have no problem smiling at people...try to lighten up a bit...don't take yourself so seriously. Just loosen up over all and let go of "trying," and just be.

Also, if that's not the issue, maybe try thinking of something funny. For example, when was the last time you laughed at something? Think about that. Another thing I do sometimes just to get myself in a good mood...I take a few minutes in the morning to read some jokes or watch something funny. It usually helps get me in a good mood to start off the day.

"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

A genuine smile shows approval, confidence, and interest in a person.

Yes there are people who fake a smile and it looks like they're doing a perma-smile too, girls are not idiots they know the real deal.

Braces will not help my situation. I've already visited two oral surgeons the past year since I'm old enough now for that type of surgery. My lower jaw has to be broken and realigned with my upper jaw. It's a long process I'd have to go through that I'm just not willing to do. My mother had the same operation before I was born...she couldn't open her mouth for months and could only sip food. What can I say? She's a tough b*tch and was more willing.

I'm fine with not having a "normal" jaw. Friends and people familiar with me think my "real" smile looks pretty cool too so it's not like I've been ridiculed over it before. I just personally don't like it, and when I give a full smile, it doesn't look like a "Hi I dig you" type of expression. It gives off more of a "I am about to f*ck your face right here and now"expression. I keep it reserved for only extreme happiness.

As for the you could die tomorrow comment...well I can tell you one thing...I won't be smiling when I die, heh.

Practice your smiles on your own lots of times, preferably in front of a mirror. You should be able to practice enough that you can flash the great open or closed mouth smile instantly when you need to.

I was on the bus today, glanced at a girl getting on, made eye contact then let up a slight smile with my mouth still closed, she gave the full mouth open smile where the whole face gets into it. Bit more than I expected, I'm going to be trying it a lot more now..

Smiling is important in taking a picture to later send to a woman. Your smile is more important than your muscles. I can't fake it or it comes off as a smirk. I have to have someone behind the camera genuinely make me laugh.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.
