Can somebody explain to me what it is? Ive always thought it was the stuff you ate on your bread, but I just started wondering if it might really be something you eat without bread (which we call QUARK in german..the english word is supposed to be CURDS or something but some ppl argue how to translate it properly...)

Its a dairy product, donk know exactly what it is. I eat it all the time with s and p. It is affordable, and has lots of protein with few carbs and low fat. great snack IMO.

Non fat cottage cheese is NASTY. I can't stand the stuff - tastes like lumpy vinegar. If you're going to get cottage cheese, get a high quality brand (not the generic brand!) and get 2% fat.
