"The Kiss of Death Mistake"

You replay the conversation at 2 a.m. She texted back fast yesterday. Today, nothing. Was that smile friendly or flirty? What did the shoulder touch mean?

Every hour you spend decoding her signals drains your confidence and hands her the controls. Women can sense that insecurity from across the room — and it repels them.

One of the "22 Rules" kills the obsession on the spot: assume she likes you, and act accordingly. Sounds too simple. Works anyway.

Her interest tends to rise to meet your expectations. Psychologists call it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I have been friends with this HB 8.5 for around a year now. At first she was giving me STRONG signals, and always hinting that she wanted me, but I just didn't feel that way towards her. However, in the past month I've became very attracted to her. Obviously, I haven't told her how I feel and still act as if I am not attracted to her.

We have flirted heavily via text msgs and IMs for weeks, but it doesn't get any farther then that. I have also started acting as a jerk, and not a nice guy around her. Some days she seems to ignore me, and othertimes she seems to be interested in me, but she is very hard to read. I am beginning to think that she simply gave up on me and moved on to someone else. During one of our conversations she asked me what kind of women I liked and playfully insisted that she would set me up with someone, and in another one she even said that we would make a good couple, but it was hard to see if she was joking or serious. What would have been a proper response?

Any advice or should I just keep her as a friend?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

Are you in internet love with this girl? If so declare your undying admiration for her heart and then wuss out. Sounds like you're catching a slight case of One-itis already.

Otherwise you're going to have to get some sac and look for some other poon.

After a year, yes she has given up on you. Too late. You are in the friendzone.

Have you even asked her out on a date? It seems like all the communication between you do has been distant via cell phone and internet. Ask her if she wants to go somewhere on a friday night... Then you will know.

It's pretty much over buddy. ONE YEAR, my god. I would never hang around a girl for that long period especially talking to her every single week without ANY focking action. Give it up, MOVE ON!

If you REALLY REALLY want to be with her. Cut all contact, ignore her. If she contacts you, keep it brief. But do not sound all so goody goody to talk to her. I don't think it'll work, but you never know.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

F*CK, I have caught oneitis. And, she is really ignoring me now and not even initiating conversation anymore. The problem is that I take the same class with her a few days a week, so I can't fully not think of her.

I guess my best option now is to just get more numbers and try to get rid of this oneitis.
