Whenever you have a disagreement or an arguement with somebody. Don't speak let them react and it will give you more power than saying anything. Whenever I have a arguement with somebody I am quite. It makes them feel uncomfortable and they react. The less you say the more power you have. It also will make them wonder what's wrong and more than not you will win the battle.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

I do this too, and I noticed that when people get uncomfortable, they tend to think that they need to expand upon what they just said. Then they start trying to explain more and eventually shoot themselves in the foot.

I tend to remain more silent so that I can control my thougts better and give a more solid argument. More than once i have been too silent for too long and the person I was arguing with thought that i was just pissed and wasn't gonna talk about it, so they got pissed.

Great point.

I remember hearing that it was tradition in some native american tribes that when an arguement broke out, both sides would take a day or so to get back to eachother. This way, they could really assess the situation, and minimize the amount of anger that went into their arguement.

At the very least, THINKING about what you say and remaining calm will put you ahead of most people, who simply get all angry and blurt out whatever is on their minds.
