"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

I need some advice. I recently went out with a cute but shy girl. Cute face, about a 6 with a 8 body. Met her at Starbucks (where she works) and we went to dinner. Teased her over dinner, told her she could have the leftovers since she is probably broke, when she said I could have them I told her I wasn't sure if I wanted to eat after her, made her laugh in general. She told me she hardly talked to anyone in highschool and it was apparent to me that she was shy. On the way out of the restaurant I grabbed her hand and led her to the truck (telling her I didn't want her to get hit by any cars) She didn't pull away. Went to the movies (I picked) teased her some more telling her I needed her jacket since it was cold and I forgot mine. Found out that she is 'church going" (baptist) while waiting for the movie to start, although she said she has been missing recently. I held off contact throughout the flick. Drove her back to her car and she said she had a good time ect. I then told her "I know your shy but Im going to kiss you anyway" She said " no, not tonight" so we hugged and she left. Called her a little later to see if she "she made it home alright", Got her voicmail and left her a message asking if she made it home and how I totally took off with her leftovers. She called back a few minutes later and said she had been on the phone with her brother. I told her to call me next week and she said ok. Now, is she just being nice or is she possibly interested in me? Any advice for dealing with shy girls? She may even possibly be a virgin. Just a hunch.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

Dunno about you, if I was playing a variant of a poker game and I showed my opponent 3 out of 5 cards (you showed your interest, you probably paid for most of the date, and you've probably did all the driving) yet my opponent was just showing 1 card (she showed up). I'd rather fold and walk away than trying to figure out what kind of goods the opponent has especially considering you've only put a very low wager early in this game. If she wants to keep playing, she should show you her other card.

wow, nice analogy

Also, calling after a date seems like a bad move, for future reference.

Thanks for the advice. Stored for future reference. I will wait to see if she calls me, if not...next.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

Likely yes, but again this is a shy girl.

Well i dont know the details about your date, but i too had a shy girl date yesterday and this was how i ended it: "Listen I had a great time, [kiss close], get home safe, ill call you." Who knows, maybe ill call her tonight.

First off ill say that shy girls are different from regular girls, and often its good that you're not shy, but confident with them - go light with the c&f. Show em a good time and dont force them to do something they dont want to.

Unfortunately in the case of the shy girl, the guy winds up being the chaser...so there isnt much you can do in such a situation..other than keeping some cards of your hand to yourself. and depending on how low their self-esteem is or how high their interest level is, its also good to reassure them that you had a good time.

one thing about hsy girls i have learned from experience....we often paint our own picture of shy girls because they may not open up too much about themselves, and make everything public. This causes us to view them in a different light then they may be, and we may put a "good girl" label on them, and really expect that from them. Be careful of this though, as it is often not the case, and it tjust takes them some time to warm up to us before the inner freak and some of that "bad girl" comes out.

Shy girls are FREAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
