Should you call a girl before POF first date

Hey guys

Just a quick question. I'm new to pof and have been having a few good prospects although also it's all kind of flaky.

Anyways I'm supposed to meet one tonight and one tomorrow night. Both hot. I was wondering if you have any opinions on calling them on the day of the date ie today to touch base, or does it come across as needy because all thse chicks want is **** anyways?

With POF I call them a few days before the date just to see if they are legit. Yeah calling on the day of the date is a bit weak, specially if they are busy or something.

I honestly just text. I keep the texting minimal to just discuss logistics of the meetup. I seldom get flakes. I used to text more frequently in the past and get more flakes- so less is more.
