Why "Whatever You Want" Keeps You Single

She says the movie looks dumb; you suddenly agree. She tests you with a little attitude; you apologize for nothing.

You think you're being easy to get along with. She reads something else entirely: a man with no edges. Nothing to hold on to. No friction, no tension, no reason to wonder what he really thinks.

The "22 Rules" taught me to push back — playfully, calmly, without needing her approval. Strange things happened after that.

Should I talk to her again? or say anything?

Well, two weeks ago I met a girl. She seemed alright. Didnt do anything... had no job, school... just hung out with her friend was all she ever did. I dont know if she is a HB but I showed my friend a picture of her and he pretty much said "u can do better than that". lol.. i think she's decent looking.
anyway, we talked nonstop for those two weeks... seemed to connect nicely, got her IL up, we had alittle bit of fun but she wasnt exactly my main target. i guess around a week ago she did become my main target. And well, two nights ago, i talked to her and her friend. She said that she wanted to hang out with me next weekend. I said ok. She asked me if I would like to go on a trip with her. I said ok. She and her friend leaves. Two hours later, I talk to her on AIM. we chat. then she says:

"oh well"
"your not my type"
"you look WAY too young"
"peace out"

and leaves.

stupid part is that she KNEW what i looked like... 2 weeks earlier.

And that was the first time she did that... everything before that was just fine. I dont think I did anything wrong, she did express solid interest.. Unless calling/IMing her everyday is a mistake, I didnt really screw this up.

So, my question is... should I try talking to her again?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

If it matters, she called/IMed me some too.

Thats what's weird. I wasnt really sent any signals... either that or my BS detector isn't strong enough.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

yes... she did not give me enough time or anything. i was trying to rush things i guess. i was probably too confident and expected that she would like me.

2 questions remain:
1. what did i do wrong, so i dont make the same mistake with other girls in the future
2. should i do anything iwth her now

First off, you settled for a girl that you didn't even consider to be attractive. Next, you didn't listen to your friend when he saw the picture of her, laughed and said "Dude, you can do much better than that". Then, you allowed yourself to get wound up around this girl, talking to her either on the phone or over the computer every day. Bear in mind the girl in question is decidedly unattractive. In addition to all of this, you were showing her by your frequent conversation and your basically throwing yourself at her that she didn't have to work at getting you - at all. Now, for your second question.
2. should i do anything iwth her now
No. In fact, you never should have done anything with her to begin with. Desperation is no excuse for lowering your standards.

Let me make one last point... I thought... she gave me the impression that she was some depressed loner girl. I guess I had too much symapthy... I thought that being nice would go somewhere... damn, I guess you cant be nice to any girl can you? If I knew she was going to do this I would have acted completely different... Im not that stupid, most girls I dont give a **** about.

When she dissed me, trust me I was very suprised. She quickly apologized for everything she did, and seemed submissive to what I wanted. Up until that point. Thats what I dont get.

So does this mean... that all girls are hoes that I shouldnt give a **** about? This is strange to say the least.

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

People in general always have their interests in mind. You were too easily phased by her words. DJs do not care what girls say. If they disrespect you, just ignore it and talk to another girl. Always have more than one prospect. Don't give in and start yelling at her. Although she may have been submissive, she lost respect for you.

Her friend probably also had something to do with this. Always make friends with the girl you are DJing. This creates future prospects and also lessens ****blocks. Not to mention it could create potential jealousy, etc. Notice how you care right now about what your friend said. Big influence.
