"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

This girl instantly messaged me on myspace like right after her boyfriend broke up with her. Good chance that I might just be becoming a rebound? I hardly ever talk to this chick.. and she just instantly tells me out of nowhere.. like I care or something lol. But yeah.. we talked about it, nothing deep.. I just gave her my sympathy and said "that sucks". She wants to hang out at lunch on monday.. not sure if I should get into this. Yay or nay?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

The words come later. The impression comes first.

If you can seal the deal why not? Don't let her turn you into her little girlfriend though. If she starts talking about her ex shut her the f.ck up.

Nah, she was cool about it, infact anytime something personal came up she changed the subject. I liked that.

Anyway, it's too late now.. just got her number. Maybe I will call her this weekend and hang out with her, if not then we'll chill on monday.
