"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

alright here is my predicament. I'm 20 years old and saw this girl a couple days ago. Now I called her last night and asked if she wanted to do anything. It was kind of late last night maybe 12-12:30am and she declined mentioning she had to work all day today so I told her to give me a call on thurs if she wanted to do anything. Also I told another friend I would go with him to a college night/bar thing same night. Asking her to go is no option.

As of right now I am gonna go to this college night thing, I feel she had her chance last night when I called. If she calls is this going to mess anything up? I read the article on cognitive dissonence but in a way I already told her we may do somethin. I just feel being declined last night would not be in my favor and she sounded like she wanted to do something coming up thurs.

Any advice?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

No one has any opinions on this?

is this a good or a bad thing to not be there when she calls? I could come back early but right now I really dont care either way. Is letting her down going to hurt anything? I am just curious on opinions

When you call a girl to ask her out, do just that: call her and ask her out.

What you did was call and ask her to call you and ask you out . . . first, it makes you look indecisive, like she's the one who has to make the plans, and second, it's freakin' complicated. She was already on the dam phone. :nono:

College guys think it's wierd to make plans more than ten minutes in advance, but it's fine.

Don't worry: she won't call. You'll have to call her back and set something up. She won't.
