Should i speak to her before our date

Hey everyone

So i met a girl in a club about two nights ago, and we had a very short conversation and started making out. Anyway we did this for about half an hour and then I had to leave.

So yesterday i spoke to her and we have arranged to go out next wednesday, i cant do any sooner due to work.

My issue is thats about a week and a half away, so i dont really know when i should speak to her next... i leave it too late and the whole thing sort of fizzles out too soon and i seem desperate. Also i dont really know much about her, as our conversation was limited due to being in the club and it being loud (which is why ive planned the date), so apart from the generic 'How was your day' im at a bit of a loss as to even how to start a conversation during the next week.

A week and a half is a long time. If I were in the same situation, I would call to ask her out a few days in advance (to narrow the time gap), but you asked her out and she said yes! That's good!

At the very least, confirm the venue/time with her the day before so you are both on the same page. I faced a situation before where there was a gap in between the asking out and the date, and the advice from the board was to touch base once or maybe twice. Nothing serious, but something to keep her thinking about you. Humor always helps.

Things can go stale with 10 days in between seeing her, but if you two can touch base a couple of times in between, it could work.
