This girl told me that she'd invite me over for dinner before she goes on a trip (still 2 weeks from now). She mentioned it at the end of our last meeting (dinner) like a week ago. In the meantime there has been no contact by either one of us.

Should I make any move to invite her out for something or should I suggest that we meet up again before she goes? Or should i just wait around? You may have seen a similar post--just want more feedback.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

It could be a test, let it go on for a little longer. If you hear nothing, call her up, wish her well and see if you can hang out before she goes. If not, NEXT.

I seriously don't understand how you guys can just go on to the next girl. My dumbass would have called her back the next day, and prolly everyday after that.

Remind her of what? It's pretty AFC to have a random statement stuck in your head like that. I thought by now that most people realize that certain statements are just something people say, but aren't really what they meant to follow through. Such as saying, "I'll see you later" after a crappy date, do you really think that there will be another meeting? Sometime when a girl mention an event in a distant future, if she's interested, she will bring it up again. If not, it was just something that she said for the heck of the moment. There's no need to even have that in your head...

how wouldyou prase this anyways, "yea, so i thought you were going to invite me for dinner before you left?"

it sounds so desperate

if she really wanted to have you over she'd remember to invite you

many people say things with out the intension of ever fullfilling them

Just cos she doesn't invite you out doen't mean she's a lost cause.

You may well be able to ask her out before she leaves and get her kit off just on sheer charm (good wine, sinatra, etcetera).

But don't ask twice.

No, don't remind her.

Yes, call her up and ask her out again.
