"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

By the end of August I will be at my job for 3 years, welding. In June I told my company I didn't want to work there much longer and told them I would be departing at the end of September.

I think my supervisor is a slave driver:cuss: , he destroys my confidence in my working ability, plus he patronizes me:nono: , and he is no fun to work for.
He yelled at me on Tuesday so I decided I had just about had it.

I went in yesterday morning, pulling my supervisor and my boss into the office and told them I had no desire to work for my supervisor anymore and I had been dreading going to work in the morning for about 3 months now. I told my boss all the shiznit that was going on and said something needs to change.

My supervisor took the rest of the day off and I continued to go to work. Well last night I was having a lot of anxiety about going to work and I called in just now and told them I was taking the rest of the week off to think about stuff.

I love doing the type of work that I do, but I HATE WORKING FOR THIS GUY!!
Have the bridges been burned and should I just quit now. I will be moving in 7 weeks so that is a long time to have off but I getting downright depressed at work.

I have very low self-esteem and yesterday was the first day I have stood up to anyone in my life and now I am feeling guilty and regret over it even though it is all true what I said.

"She's Out of Your League"

You've said it a hundred times. Maybe a thousand. And every time you say it, you train your brain to freeze the next time she walks into the room.

Leagues are a myth invented by guys who are scared of women.

She's a person. She has bad breath in the morning. She picks songs she can't sing in the shower. She overthinks her own texts.

Walk over. Say something. The league dissolves the second you open your mouth.

I understand where you coming from...Everybody at work are racist behind closed doors but sometimes they keeo that door crack and it pours out from time to time but I have responsibilites like a apartment rent, car note, 2 kids, etc etc and I couldnt afford to just quit without having another lined up...Since its the recession not too many jobs are hiring right now...I'll start searching for another job before I call it quits.

I have nothing to apologize for. I wanted my boss to be present for the conversation because he was in the dark and I know it would escalate if he was not there because he is a defensive person and I am too. I never raised my voice and I never called him any names. I didn't explode at all I was very calm the whole time.

The reason I gave them the 4 month notice is because I wanted them to be able to prepare for when I leave, it is a small shop and only about 15 people work there. Me and my supervisor are the only two welders.

I'd have another job lined up before I left my current one, if I was in your position. I can't really comment on your situation, they are always different and we never know the whole story. In these tougher times, however, I'd also be more willing to endure a toxic situation. Remember that it's a job. It's nothing personal, unless you let it get that way.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

never give them more time then they need. They can replace you in a week or two, and that's the most you should give them.
When they are about to fire you, they usually (unless your in a proffesional setting with a contract) don't even give you a days notice. Most of the time is: pack your sh!t after lunch and leave.

For some reason - and this is accross the board - if you tell your boss your quitting, most of the time you'll notice them act different toward you. Not sure what it is, but i had the same thing happen when i quit my last job. It was uncomforatable for two weeks.

1. Always have the next job lined up before leaving the current one.

Kind of like women and branch swinging. But it's true. This is a painful-a$$ lesson to learn, a six-month unemployment stretch can completely wreck your self-confidence and turn yourself into your worst enemy.

But, there are always entrepreneurial opportunities in welding, if you think that way.

Guilt? Regret? For telling the truth? Bulldoodle! You showed you are a man, with a back bone! You were calm, stated the facts without name calling or vile language. You did a GOOD thing. This is the first big step in running your own life and not letting people piss all over you. I, for one, am VERY proud of you:cheer:  :cheer:

Don't be surprised if they fire you. You showed strength to the management, and it probably made their man bits shrivel up in fear. (Fear that the big boss will think them incompetent and replace them.)
