"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Hey guys, so here's some context. Ive been working in retail part time for the past 2 years as a sales assistant and have never really enjoyed it that much, i only really stay there as its a source of income whilst im at college. Anyway i'll be leaving in two months regardless for a place at university.

The dilemma is that ive got a holiday coming up in 2 weeks that i won't be able to get time off for so to me it looks like push has come to shove and i need to either resign or take the holidays and get sacked.

Anyway the company treat me like sh1t, they take advantage of me and exploit my good nature and have screwed me out of multiple hours of pay. The only reason i stay there is out of some false sense of loyalty and the fact that many of my colleagues are in similar situations. The job has its pros and cons but to be honest i think ive had enough. However i know for a fact when i hand in my notice tommorow my manager will flip out as he has done me a favour by letting me go on holiday for the past 2 weeks.

Anyway to be the decision seems obvious, i should hand in my resignation and work my period of notice and leave. Shouls i be a man of my own destiny and man up and leave or are there any unforeseen repercussions?

Cheers guys

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

You answered your own quesiton, why stay with a company when they treat you like shyt? plus is a retail job, those a dime a dozen even with a shytty economy, most retail places only pay entry level salaries. Your better of going to a temp agency were you can make more

If I was you I'd place a 2 week notice in and quit why stress yourself with a job that doesn't give 2 fucc's about you?

You've probably already decided this yourself but...

I'd say to quit

It's an amazing how often the decision seems obvious once you write out the description of your situation.

For me it would depend on when your pay cycle is and how much leave entitlements they have to pay you out.

If you get paid on the last day of the pay period and have no entitlements owing to you, then I'd just take my last pay and not come back.

Don't know, it depends how much you would lose out by simply walking. Would it be a good price to pay to get out of there?

Employers screw over their employees all day every day in many ways now and forever. Let him know you have to take the time off, it's an emergency and let him deal with it. He's the manager he gets paid to manage let him manage and don't baby that homo.
