yeah ok basically I met this girl via myspace and we have talked a lot on the phone and online and we are "friends".

ok well i meet her tonight. meet her parents. go to starbucks. go to movie. anywayl, at this point i know she has a long distance bf. kinda serious like. ok.

the thing is that we were both really attracted to each other. she was like "im cold" so i did that thing where you rub their arms and shoulders.

so we go to the movie and she totally initiates HAND HOLDING!!! OMFG!!!! BBQ!!!!

so we are holding hands and you know playing with each others arms and crap and she looks into my eyes and so i instinctively kiss her. well yeah we kissed for a while. yeah k. then she initiates another one. bla bla bla

I take her home and I'm like whoooooops! she totally has a bf. but the thing is I'm sure she doesnt like me that way, so as long as she doesnt have feelings for me like that, then I am in the clear right? am I wrong for what I did or not?

hitting on long distance relationship women = fair game

i bet her bf is doing some where hes at, so don't feel bad about stealing his gf. It shouldn't even be considered stealing since long distance relationships are meant to be broken, they are fair game, they're not serious.

long distance relationships shouldn't even be considered 'serious.' So they talk on the phone and email etc etc. You can't possibly take that as a serious bf/gf relationship.

she's 18, you're 18, or whatever, and this is the time where everyone is running around experimenting, figuring out who they are, who others are, and what they want and need. this period will go on for years yet

you won't know unless you play, so ditch half the "nice" rules you've learned (but not all). doubt me on that? you need a major re-think about everything based on your "...but I'm sure she doesn't like me that way..." (as bf material) stated just possibly hours after she goes on a date, makes out, makes out again... LOL!

I hate to ask what you need as proof she's interested. you're basically somewhere on the periphery of being in the "clueless wonder" region (it's a bad trait and usually gets worse with time). and believe me, guy, you don't want her to get wind of this or every woman of both your acquaintance will know this about you - !

it's the "all's fair in love and war" time, so she's fair game as mentione above. her bf is not your problem, so don't act like a wussy over him. she's using him to keep her options open

and, yeah, sure, she may feel something real for him too, but he's a good option for her to keep some measure of control over how slow or fast your thing goes

if you want her, go for her and she'll let you know if she's willing or not (like by bringing up the bf if this thing with you isn't for her or she's not ready)

i don't know japanese social standards, so maybe nothing i say applies

but basic human behavior is basic human behavior

for myself --- i still kick myself over one of the finest japanese women i met (a real live spark, she was) who traveled to the US and married a japanese guy here but was beginning to meet US guys and was attracted to something new. I could've stepped out with her I'm sure, looking back on it - although I think she would've stayed with her husband. She was just looking for more than he had to offer and I just needed to be discrete.

too bad I didn't know then as much as I do now, she was fine (ah well...)
