"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

okay, theres this girl whos been going to my school for only a few weeks now, we are in teh same grade though because she just moved here from chicago.

anyway, we flirt alot, but she flirts with other guys and i _sometimes_ flirt with other girls, but only one and shes taken. anyway, chicago girl likes me, i like her, shes said she likes me to my friends, and she its pretty obvious she does, but she sometimes acts the same way around other guys.

getting to the point, whenever im online and she signs on, or shes online and i sign on, shes ALWAYS the first to say hi, and shes usually quick about it. but last night she said she had been testing me to see if id ever say hi first and she says that if i dont she wont talk to me anymore ( she was joking about the not talking part ). but now i dont know if i should message her first or not, shouldnt i be doing the 'mysterious' and 'hard to get' thing? so wouldnt it be better if i made her do it again so shed be like 'ugh i cant get him!''??

im confused and ive still got alot of reading to do here, so dont flame me if this has been answered a million times...

ps- i guess this is a pretty general question, what do you do when you know shes testing you? lol anyway, thanks much for the advice :D

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

She's noticed you never IM her first and was making a joke out of it to bring up her concern. Don't IM her first, but keep doing your thing when you see her around...why not set up something to hang out with her instead of just sitting online talking to her?

Go out on Friday to the football game.

and stop talking ot her on IM. Call her up instead, or save the conversation for a date.

If she keeps this **** up about IM, then stop signing on, or go into invisible mode whenever you do get on. I used to know a girl who would always IM me with, "can't say hi?" She was just looking for recognition, and that's what this girl is doing.

but giving her the recognition she wants is bad?

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Not always, but talking on AIM is generally not productive. There is no emotional connection as there is in-person, or to a lesser extent on the phone. It's good that you don't IM her, but if you talk so much on AIM it can be harder to bring up good conversation topics in person.

i know the feeling, we actually usually talk on the phone but whatever

lets make this thread about generally when girls test you to see if youll do something for them, what is the right thing to do? ive read that the AFC will 'go buy a sandwhich for her cuz shes studying' but where do you draw the line between being an AFC and just being a nice ( as far as, you wanting to be in a relationship goes, id understand if you were just in it for sex...)
