I've been going out with my gf for a few months now, have had a few minor issues, but things are going okay with us right now.

Anyway, I know she's not the perfect girl for me. Our interests are on opposite sides of the spectrum, and how we approach life is very different. Our hobbies are totally different, etc.

I realized how different we were when I was talking with her and her friends. I simply cannot relate to what they talk about...it seems so trivial to me, and I had a hard time even jumping into the conversation...basically, I felt akward.

Anyway, despite our differences, there's still a good deal of attraction between us. I like her, and she likes me.

But the ironic thing (at least to me) is that she doesn't seem to like me because of our analagous approach towards life (such as hobbies, similairities, etc.), but rather HOW I MAKE HER FEEL. Studying sosuave for a few years and such, I know how to make a girl feel very special, and this allows her to "fall" for me. I think she likes this. She likes feeling "safe" with me, and she likes that I make her feel "special," which she's told me.

Is this okay? Is this enough to FUEL a LTR? Or, are our own differences going to be enough to eventually outrun this?

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

nah i would want a girl that has atleast some different hobbies and views then me , cuz if u can love a girl that is in a way a opposite of you then its a good kind of love not a puppy love or simple atraction . ofcourse the core has to be the same as me , but whats outside the core should be somewhat different then me. or else it would just become too boring in the long run, it would be like dating a female version of yourself.....

A famous phychiatrist or philosopher once said ,when making friends people tend to look for certain behaviuors ,key roles that are similar to one ownes , but when finding love , true love it is usually with a person that completes you rather then copies you......

i hope you kinda understand what im trying to say , but maby its to philosophical....

I’m sorry to break this to you, but there is no “one perfect woman” for you. This is a recurring theme in literature and movies that we have seen so many times that most of us believe it, but it simply isn’t true. There is only compatible and incompatible. The question you need to ask yourself is, do you think you can do better? If you think you will find someone perfect that will never annoy you in any way, you are sadly mistaken. That is why you should make a list of the things you must have in a woman and if any of these are not met, it is a deal breaker and you should dump her. Be upfront as possible with these. If she doesn’t have any of the deal breaker qualities, then you should stay with her. As you live and learn, you may have new deal breakers.

This list should include her looks, how she does in bed, how she handles her private life, her morals, everything that matters to you. It’s your list. But you will never find perfection.
