"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

hey all. i was working the other day and i had to go to a different department and there was this cute chick working. she has said hi to me a few times before, and i always thought it was wierd because she would say "hi" to me but no one else and would use my name when she said "hi".

anyway, i go up there because i have to ask her a question, and she starts by saying "hi" again with my name and proceeds to introduce me to her (i didnt know her name at the time) and proceeds to answer my question. the whole time i am keeping EXCELENT eye contact and she is keeping eye contact with me too. here is the part where i am confused: even tho we were keeping good eye contact (dont worry, i wasnt STARING, just normal convo eye contact) she looked down a couple of times as if she was embarassed. also, she kept stumbling over words and acting really nervous. she eventually gave me the answer (although she got confused with her self and i clamly pointed it out, resulting in her laughing.) anyway i just finished the convo and left.

later on i was walking by and she called me over to give me something trivial. i asked her why she gave it to me and she's all like "i dunno..."

anyway, compared to the other girls, she normally seems on the shy side.

ever since i started working there, i have been really trying to portray confidence and have made good friends with most of my co-workers. my question is this: even tho she was acting all embarassed or nervous, do you think she still might have something for me? i am not the most attractive person in the world, and i am concerned when an HB 8+ starts showing signs but also acting wierd. thanks.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Seems like she is shy, but she's giving off IOI's from what I can see... Ask her for her number bro. You say you are not the most attractive person in the world, but who knows, this chick might very well find you attractive and a pretty cool guy. Wouldn't hurt to strike up a conversation with her, since she's the one trying to get your interest already.

Just get to know her better and get her number and you can work it from there. Although I have heard some bad stuff about messing with co-workers, I don't personally think it could hurt too much, huh.. ;)

Best wishes bro! Go get get her!

yea. i mean im not too ugly to get a girlfriend. i have one right now. the only problem is that im kinda getting bored of my current GF and am looking for a new one.

im just hesitant b/c my GF is about 7 and this chick is at least an 8.

ive heard that office romances dont work out, but... meh. do you think i should just ask for the number right off the bat? or should i let it cook a little bit, play a bit of push/pull, etc.?

who the hell cares if office romances don't work out?

I assume you're a teenager and this is a temporary job. have fun, live life, and go out with whoever you want.

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.
