"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

She may have a thyroid problem, would you dump her?

She's intelligent, a college graduate with intentions of grad school, good with her money, mature, sharp (in that she'll call your bullsh*t in a heartbeat), good at karate, enjoys the outdoors, somewhat maternal, is a dog person (and definitely not a cat person).

She gets sick about as often as she's healthy, and she just found out that she may have thyroid problems, which may cause additional problems in the future. EVERYONE on one side of her family has thyroid problems and most have had their thyroids removed and have to take daily medication.

If it turns out that she does in fact have a thyroid issue, would you stay with her? Would you break up with her? If you are just going to post to tell me that I have to figure out on my own wether or not it's worth it, spare the post please because I understand that ultimately I have to assess my own feelings on the matter. Until I decide to do that, I'm curious to see if anybody has a strong stance one way or the other.

Most importantly I'm thinking of my future self dealing with the stress of her sickness and perhaps my childrens' sickness if things work out.
We have been going out for three months, and things are going very well. Things are going well enough that I don't see an end in sight, which is better than I can say for any girlfriend I've had in the past.

edit: I'm 21, and she's 24. I'm not anywhere near the end of my personal rope when it comes to dating.

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

One of my favorite quotes is "live in the moment". So if things are going well now, why worry about the future! Take life as it comes, if things become problematic down the road, THEN make a new decision. But if things are fine now, then don't worry about 'down the road'.

my husband dated a chick with a thyroid problem.
if she didnt take enough meds, she got huge, she got tired all the time and was very crabby and moody all the time.
if she took the meds just right she was ok .
if she took too many meds, she got very skinny and went dr jekel /mr hyde.

he was just telling this story yesterday.

he said he was so glad he didnt have to deal with that bs anymore.

I dated a woman who had a thyroid problem... she was a ***** sometimes and other times she was a sweet heart. i don't think she was ever sickly though. always in good health. just a ***** or a sweetheart. maybe it had nothing to do with her thyroid and she was just a mood swinger. who knows

"So, What Do You Do for Fun?"

She asks it casually, mid-sip. And you feel the floor open up, because the honest answer is work, gym, and a couple shows you're half-watching.

Women rarely say this out loud, but a man with a life is attractive before he says a word. The guy who spent Saturday deep-sea fishing and came back with photos and a story — he walks in already interesting.

The "22 Rules" pushed me to build a life worth talking about. Turns out the fastest way to be interesting to women is to be interested in your own life first.

well, now that you have all our opinions, you will still do what you like and we may never know the truth. the fact is if you do dump her because she has thyroid, then you are not fit to be on sosuave and you are a very shallow pimp. oops sorry.. just had to sound a lil harsh.. you get the point right.. problem is we never switch places when it comes to thinking! think gentlemen think, put your feet in her shoes (not literally) and imagine she was dumping you cuz she did not like the fact that your left testicle was hanging a lil lower than the other..odd eh.. :) as long as this made you think.

gah grow up people .. stop bloody being selfish!

There's no right or wrong answer to this question, bro. It's strictly a personal decision. If you feel the costs of dealing with her medical issues outweigh the benefits, then you make that call. No one here can make that decision for you. Also, most every woman has serious emotional ups and downs, thyroid condition or not, so don't expect that to go away if you date someone else.

Now, if you're talking about some of the growth effects of thyroid problems, such as acromegaly a la Andre The Giant or Tony Robbins, I'd drop her on the spot. ;)

If you don't like fat women then flee now!!!!!! If you don't mind her weight and other things override this weighty issue then you'll manage - just don't be surprised when she is much bigger!!

A 24 year old woman who dates 21 year old boys is a pervert. I don't care if it is "the thing" to do in America these days. Thank God most of the world hasn't and won't go down this path.

“The 22 Rules That Turned Me From Invisible to Irresistible With Women… Starting Tonight”

You can skip the expensive cars, the fancy clothes, and the endless gym selfies. Completely unnecessary.

I used to freeze the second a beautiful woman looked my way. Frustrated. Awkward. Watching other guys walk away with the girl while I stood there tongue-tied.

Then I discovered 22 simple rules that rewired my entire dating life. The anxiety vanished. Conversations flowed effortlessly. Women started chasing me for a change.

These rules trigger a woman's subconscious attraction switches. And you can start using them tonight.

You are right, most mature 24 year old babes are better off dating a dude in his 40's who has his life sorted out.

In her defense we are dating because she and I worked together for about a year and got to know each other, so the reason that we even started dating is because of the history.

Age ain't nothin' but a number, and until it's a matter of legality, maturity level is all that matters.
Sparky what is so perverted about a 24 year old woman dating a 21 year old guy? It's not like she's going through menopause.

Also, to Ducaro: I am insulted that you would call me shallow. Did I even rate the girl in terms of her looks on a scale of 10 in the above post? NO

I assume Ducaro that you are so unselfish that you never take into account a girl's looks, personal hygeine, or health before dating them because you are so unselfish. I imagine you with a fat chick with a big heart and a great personality?

By your definition, I should just pick someone off the bat and stick with that person to the end. If persistent health problems isn't a reason to not continue a relationship before it gets too serious, then I don't know what is.

1) Women should not be allowed on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) There are different types of thyroid problems, i.e. secondery vs primary (i.e. primary meaning something is wrong with thyroid, vs seconday such as lack of stimulation from your pituatary gland). In the case you describing, it seems she probably had primary hypothyrodism, (primary because that is the one typically treated with drugs, ie. thyroxine. it is hypothyrodism, because her gaining weight is a sign of decreased metabolic activity in the case of inactive thyroid i.e. lack of thyroxine....

point is.. IN YOUR CASE... maybe its hyperthyroidism and can be fixed via partial thyroidectomy... in other words, you dont really know....

YOU ARE THINKING TOO FAR AHEAD... are u going to worry about her dying in a car accident? jeezes you only dated 3 months... chill...

go watch the movie Gataga and see if it teaches you anything...

Excuse me Mr. holier-than-thou, but if there was a lonely and completely unattractive woman, would you date her? What? No? Because you're not attracted to her?

Everyone (including you) judges others by looks. You're not going to date a fat disgusting girl.

So judging by looks is not shallow, but judging by a health issue that will complicate things down the road is?

Do you see the hypocrisy?

That be retarded if you dumped her for something like that. As long as she is an awesome chick and you are enjoying her company then some health problem shouldn't get in the way.

So what about an "awesome" chick who is otherwise utterly ugly. I bet you wouldn't date one. Turning her down just because she is ugly would be retarded. She's an awesome person.

See the hypocrisy?

They've been going out for 3 months. He wouldn't be dumping the love of his life that he's been married to for years.

Don't judge someone unless you're free of all sin. Nobody on here can claim they date based absolutely on what's "inside". So leave the stones on the ground.

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

A man's penis is driven by blood flow which is dictated by his visual excitement which is predicated upon her's physical attractiveness in his eyes!!! It is a physical and mental phenomena!!!

A man's penis must be erect to procreate!!

agreed, but for a girl to be awesome, it is not about getting laid, or her looks! there's so much more to it

I am merely stating the prerequisite - which is physical attraction, as the man sees her!

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.
