"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Me in this chick been banging, dating, semi exclusive. She so far been a down ass girl.

She kept begging for me to see her this weekend, I told her I will be busy this weekend, she begs more, I tell her you act like your life depend on me. She tells me..."You know what, I'm going to get off the phone I feel tired"... I ask her was she mad, she says "I'm tired and I don't want to hung up in your face". I told her don't act like that don't....mid sentence of me talking she hangs up.

I'm pissed to the point I'm willing to throw this chick away. What do you guys think?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

let her stew in it for the night. deal with it tomorrow if it comes up.
I would bet that she was feeling upset that you had other plans and she wanted off the phone right then.... so you wouldn't fight and you wouldn't hear her being upset.
and come to think of it.... that's actually a good thing.
I am sure she will apologize for hanging up on you before the night is over or first thing in the am.
and although no one wants to be hung up on and disrespected.... it sure it nice to know she was smart enough not to pick a fight any further.

so there you go.

@prodj, I agree it is a $hit test, but this is no afc she is talking to.

@joemarron, that is a great idea which I know I will do.

@pairplus, she could be on her rag, but I'm tired of that being a excuse for women to treat men like $hit

@pen, I understand but being hung up on is very disrespectful

Yeah hanging up on you calls for a freeze-out but you didn't handle the situation the best. I wouldn't next her permanently.

All you had to simply say is Sorry babe, I'm busy and cut the conversation short. Being busy is a perfectly valid thing and if she was butthurt then it was her problem. She would have gotten over it. You let her debate you and then provoked her by asking if her life depended on you. Then you further compounded things by asking if she was mad which was only going to lead to drama. So that's what this became, drama. Didn't have to go that route.

If you want to get rid of her, then get rid of her. But it sounds like a silly thing to get angry over. Ask yourself if she is worth it.

If I could play devil's advocate...

"I tell her you act like your life depend on me"

That's unnecessary. There's ****y, then there's being a ****. If you don't give a **** about a girl, feel free to say things like this and who cares about the consequences. But if you care enough about a girl that you make a post on SoSuave about them, don't be surprised if they split on you when you get too arrogant.

Being strong and confident is good. Independent is good. Not being too available and making them chase is really good. But none of that matters if you can't show respect to a human being.

This is a fail on your part, but hopefully you'll learn from this and pick yourself up, move on to the next one.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

You should be more detailed when saying busy. e.g. I need to spend time with my parents, go to the hospital to see a friend, extra weekend work, etc.

Maybe she was genuinely feeling tired and wanted to go to sleep?

Yeah, you could have let her go when she said she wanted to get off the phone. You sort of provoked her. I think she actually did the right thing, hanging up on you. She went from being AFC to boss.
