"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Like I said before, common story. Read Phyzzle's and christz posts. Your story is literally brings flash backs...lol. I'm tellin you man either **** this girl and leave her alone, or just leave her alone. Even if she does let you hit, chances are she'll have an excuse not to be your girl. A girl like this contradicts themselves all the time, dont let her mind **** you. What are her actions tellin you?

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

She wants to cheat on her boyfriend with you, but she doesn't want it to be her fault, chief.

Exactly. On top of that, if she does cheat she'll lose credibility anyway. Seeing as she'll prove shes capable. Can you honestly say you'd trust her after that?

"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

If he does hit it, I'd say she will only let him hit it once, and then she will have what she wanted and move on and stay with her bf or something. It's happened to me before.

If you want more than just "hitting it", isn't it a better strategy to just hang back and limit contact until she's not stringing two guys along?

What do you think of Doc Love's idea of just withdrawing?
that won't work, it'll work but as soon as she feels he's back in her trap she'll end up ****in him over again, rinse and repeat girls like this are headcases they need to realize that they are screwed up the ones that know they're screwed up have a head up on the ones that don't however it takes a lot of time for them to just drop the shyt and get down to what really matters..

self improvement.

I meant for when you haven't been with the girl before. Otherwise you'd be in a have your cake and eat it too situation, like with the OP.

If it were me I'd be away from this girl yesterday. She loves the attention and affection, and is in no position to have to make a choice, because she's getting exactly what she wants from both guys. When she feels she's losing our friend fight4life is when she starts saying all those nice things to keep you hooked.

I went through something similar. "I'm just not ready...yet. But I may be. You're so important to me. I'm just a mess though. Please give me time to blah blah blah." It sounds like they are being genuine, but they're just addicted to the drug of attention, and flattering devotion from the guy. And to keep it they'll maybe make out and stuff, but not much more than that. I had a girl string me along for a few months, and I was totally oblivious. I would never get involved in something like this again. Sometimes you have to go through it and experience what a dead end it is.

She sounds like a player to me.

Treat yourself the way you want to be treated, once you're comfortable with that, it becomes easier for you to expect others to treat you the same way. If they can't, and are just going to use you... it may hurt because after all this time you probably have some feelings for the girl.... but sometimes you have to walk away. In the long run, you may FEEL that you have "lost" something, but you acted like a man and refused to be played. That's worth so much more. Then you're more prepared the next time around, because you refuse to go through it again.
