I don't think you can be tested for herpes through a urinary sample...whoever posted that above...If you have no symptoms the only way you can check to see if you have it is through a blood test which basically looks for specific antibodies that were produced in response to the virus. The problem with this is that it can take up to 6 months for the antibodies to fully seroconvert in the body, all while remaining asymptomatic. There is another effective test but it is not as readily available. I believe it is a special order from Washington University or something, it's called the Western Blot.

Also, this isn't a crime. Those kinds of laws only apply to conditions that are considered life threatening(so definitely HIV would count), and at best herpes type 1 and 2 are merely annoying and inconvenient skin conditions.

It all depends on how his body's immune system responds to foreign entities. The herpes virus is weak enough that it can be completely suppressed by stronger than average immune systems but for people that tend to get sick a lot when they're exposed to strains of other random viruses and bacteria it's not all that uncommon.

He freely admits she was a filthy cvm junkie. He was young and in his prime, getting laid regularly with hot women.

Herpes is made out to be much worse than it really is. If you google it, you're gonna get pictures of the extreme 5hit which is NOT the norm.

There's dating sites for people with herpes, but most of them charge money for it. You can still fvck chicks who don't have it, but you just have to avoid letting the herpes be more than an occasionally minor skin problem, which is what it really is. I have eczema, and it's way more problematic than the damn herpes.

When you disclose having it, you have to be 100% confident about it. Let her know it's a minor irritation, and that you control it with medicine, diet, and living a low-stress life (which you should be doing anyway). The less of a big deal you make it, the less of a big deal it will be for her. If you've got enough desirable qualities, they'll override the herpes. It's basically the same thing as women dating jerks. Sure he's an a55hole, but he's confident, strong, knows what he wants, and gives her an emotional rollercoaster ride.

As a side note, if the woman who gave it to you KNEW she had it, then you're better off getting rid of her. What else is she going to hide from you?

I believe the opposite is true. Remember that most of the male population are AFCs. AFCs have extremely limited options (at least in their minds) so when they meet an HSV+ woman who's extremely attractive, they become the white night who would "die for her". If she's got herpes, he would have no problem catching it from her because he's already in love with her. I've read countless posts on other forums where the guy was extremely forgiving of the woman having it.

I believe guys generally have a more difficult time. Take an AFC who caught herpes. His self-esteem is already not great, and having a contagious skin disorder is just going to make it worse. He's going to feel extremely unworthy of a woman because he has it, and the lack of confidence is going to show. She'll feel an extremely negative vibe and go running for the hills. Women react to their emotions, and feelings on touchy subjects can be more contagious than herpes.

I don't get why an AFC would have to be lumped in together as a duality with the white knight, or in fact what any label has to do with anyone who is accepting of someone with HSV. Presuming that he's only okay with herpes because said HB is his only option at the time makes the condition out to be something so much worse than it is.
