"Why Women Dump the Guys Who Try the Hardest"

You paid for dinner. You drove. You said "whatever you want is fine" every single time. All the effort, no expectations.

And she left anyway — probably for a guy who makes her pick up the pizza.

Painful. Also predictable. Her mind quietly concludes that anything requiring zero effort from her is worth exactly zero. You became a free sample, and free samples get taken for granted.

The 22 Rules flip the dynamic. Small shifts that get her investing effort, money, and time in you — until SHE'S the one afraid of losing YOU.

Well damn, me and this chick ive known for a while are just talking and she jokingly says that im so pathetic its funny (b/c i said some ****y line or whatever)
I know she was joking but it's like, my own mother couldn't get away with calling me pathetic! I just calmly fed her back some other ****y remark which I can't remember and said I had other things to do. She seemed kinda shocked that I just stopped talking to her.....
You think i should let it slide though? I know she was just playing but NOBODY calls me pathetic! Aside from that she's always been cool with me so should I give her a warning and another chance?

"I'm Not Looking for Anything Serious Right Now"

When a woman says it, guys hear a confession. A heads-up. A scheduling conflict.

Here's the translation: I don't feel anything. Right now. With you.

Watch what happens when a man triggers actual attraction. The busy career, the recent breakup, the "not in a place to date" — all of it evaporates instantly. The same woman who was guarding her freedom is suddenly free every night.

The "22 Rules" explain why. When the right switches flip, her timeline rearranges itself around you.

Yeah, give her another chance, but remember these girls already know what you're after with the C&F stuff. It doesn't take rocket science and is all over the web. Try to be more creative and original.

I really think that she meant it anyway like guys that are trolling for booty are pathetic. All girls say that but you know most girls like guys like that. I'm sure she has no idea that it had any effect on you.

I'm going to go out on an advice limb here so verify this with someone smarter than me before you try it. You may have been too C&F and if you told her that it hurt your feelings it might have an effect where she realizes you're not just a player but have feelings and are a great guy. Then off go her pants. I know in most cases you wouldn't want to say this to a girl but I can somehow see this working.

A universe...where heartbreak and sadness have bee
Look at you getting all bent out of shape over this! How PATHETIC! :D

Seriously though...I can completely understnad you being offended, but don't get all hurt and angry about it. The best thing you could've done was laugh about it.

Humor us for a minute...what was the line you used that got you the pathetic comment? And were you "C&Fing" the whole time? (overdoing it)

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

When a girl says your pathetic, she thinks she's above you and confortable in putting you in your place.... there is alot of disrespect here....

The word pathetic has very powerful connotations... Its not all pleasant and it definitely requires a comeback of some sorts...

I usually say matter of factly "Are you like this all the time or with people who are more cool than you?" Then turn and with my head shaking in disappointment... I'll ignore her until she changes her tune, apologise or whatever to my satisfaction and neg her whenever I can...

Cool, no worries I gave her NO sign of it affecting me emotionally... I was super calm about it. I dont really remember how it went down, but we exhanged a few more words and then I just said I had other things to do.
She DID say she was sorry almost immediately afterwards BTW, and said she was a ***** for saying that or something like that... to which I agreed with a smirk, then I just went on my way.

We call each other names all the time in a playful way but yea, "PATHETIC" is worse than jerk or *******, I take those as compliments.

"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

You could just lay it on the line and ask her if she was serious about calling you pathetic. If she says anything but "Of course not, I was just teasing." you say "Well, I found that comment disrespectful and I didn't find it very funny." If she says anything but "I'm sorry." then she doesn't have a sense of personal responsibility and you should next her.

Do not waste time on women who think apologizing is beneath them or who are so self-absorbed that they don't realize that their actions affect the people around them.

Homey this is someone you have known for a long time, so this wasnt a date where every word you say may be used against you in a court of law. This was one of many moments you have been in each other's presence. Once two people are in each other's social circle, every single sentence you say is not a big thing. For-get-about-it

Always remember what is going on in your head, usually is only going on in YOUR head!
