She called me dude...have I been LJBF'ed already? I just met her the other day. Everything was going so well until she says "see you later dude."

This is a tough one, I used to have a girl say (whom I thought had interest) Hey, what's up man?

I dont think "dude" is a real strong indication of your standing with her.

You are definately friends or she thinks you are some kind of stud who happens to be her friend in which case you might ask her if about your standing with any of her friends.

Tell her to give you her phone number. "Hey (insert girls name) give me your phone number." Say it likes its assumed she will give it to you. Then you call her and ask her if any of her friends are into you. If she is into you her response will be evasive and indirect. If she is evasive and indirect you say "haha just kidding."

So you want to do xyz sometime? and set up the date.

Actually, this could be game.

Deliberately calling a woman you are interested in by a friendly handle, such as "man", "dude" or "mate" is a very good neg-hit, because it plants doubt in their mind.

HER: Hi, alright?

YOU: Hello dude!

HER: (What?? I was SURE he fancied me... EVERYONE fancies me... dont they??) ... yeah, Im ok...

My current gf calls me man, or dude on occasion. It depends on a girls personality. I wouldnt go all out to say your in the friends zone just yet.

Im calling some overanalyzing here. There are other signs you should be watching for to see if you are in the friend zone, besides ONE word in a conversation. Were there signs that she gave you to accompany the 'dude' you are worried about?

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Eh...I'm not sure whether it's noteworthy or not.

Pay attention to what she does, not what she says. Body language, eye contact, and behavior.

I dated a girl that called me by my last name. Then I dumped her, for other reasons though.
