I'm just wondering if anyone on here shaves (I'm not talking about the face), and if so, why?

I've started recently, and I like it better--maybe it's just a matter of personal opinion. What do you/y'all think?

I do, but not completely. Just trim it up some ..and yeah it makes it look bigger.

Trim to keep it pretty short. Shaving isn't expected by women and just not necessary imho.


I also trim my back, armpit and chest hair every couple of weeks - it isn't crazy thick or long, but I still keep it trimmed up, just looks/feels better.

I'm not gorilla-class, but I'm pretty hairy on the chest and stomach, so I'll shave if I know I'm going to a pool or the beach.

Pubes should be kept trimmed. Easier to keep clean, plus she'll be more comfortable with going down there if she doesn't get a pubic floss-job. Don't trim it all, though. You'll get chafing.

I dont, and you shouldnt either. Here's why:

If you are sexually active, there is a high likelihood of you coming into contact with HPV at some point in your adult life. According to the CDC-

Approximately 20 million Americans are currently infected with HPV, and another 6.2 million people become newly infected each year. At least 50% of sexually active men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point in their lives.

There are over 100 types of HPV, more than 40 of them sexually transmitted. Additionally, there are other viruses which can produce seemingly 'normal' bumps in the genital area but can spread voraciously and become much more unsightly.

While many people are asymptomatic and never express the virus(es) physically, there is an unknown number of people who do have bumps, papules, or warts in their genital region. These may be virtually invisible to the naked eye, or erroneously mistaken as something normal like a pimple or hair follicle.

The point here is while you may not have HPV or any other sexually transmitted infection, running a razor across your d!ck and balls is not a wise idea. All it takes is one tiny little nick over the top of a lesion and you just spread that virus all over the rest of your groin or where ever you're shaving. Bad news.

My advice is to use a trimmer--CAREFULLY. Get one of those beard trimmers with a guard and you can get the job done just fine. The ladies arent going to notice or care, just keep it trim.

just keep it neat. no reason to take a blade down there.

Yeah just get a trimmer and buzz it. I shaved for a while and the ingrown hairs get old.

Every chick I've ever asked said guys neatly trim, but not too much. They feel like they're with a little boy. I beleive the quote was garnish on the dinner plate, but dont make it the main course.
