I'm still looking
I had a friend of mine who is a chick that went to one of these recently. Apparently these kind of parties have gaining steam in popularity. Usually someone that sells a variety of sex toys showcases them for a group of girls for a night and (sometimes, but usually NOT) those who want to try before they buy can take themselves into the bathroom for some pleasureable alone time. She has a boyfriend and they are both sex before marriage people but her close friends who hosted the party are not.

Her boyfriend was somewhat uncomfortable with her going to the party, and to be honest I don't know if I would have been as well or not. One of those things I would not know how to feel about until it happened to me probably.

Out of curiousity, would you care if a HB you were getting with went to one of these? There is little reason to even care if it was a FB situation, so let's make the assumption you have been with the girl for quite some time

I just feel like there is something a bit unclassy about the whole idea, but who am I to judge?

Girls like toys, nothing new about it ;). Agreed it's not very classy but as long as the salesman isn't lending a "helping hand" I'd be ok with it.

"try before they buy" WTF? They're not purchasing a freaking car. And besides dossent your friends GF believe in abstinence? Why is she not trying out her boyfriend before she gets bought? Personally I would be disgusted if my exclusive partner thought about going to one of these. There's nothing wrong with sex toys; I can't be with her 24/7 but the thought of going over someones house and trying out different things in the bathroom...... Very *****ish. If I was in his position I'd be like "No, Lets just have sex tonight instead. I'll buy you a dildo before I go on that business trip."

My wife goes to those every once in a while.

I'll really don't see a problem with it. Unless you're uptight about sex?

And about trying things out? I don't really think they let them try out the toys. More like creams and lotions. As far as I know, there are demo toys but they are unused and just passed around to look at. No woman in their right mind (oxymoron?) would get in line to try out a dildo.

There are dozens of network marketing companies selling various overpriced crap based upon the idea of women getting their friends to go to "parties" to get guilted into buying something. One of them happens to sell massage oil and vibrators. The parties are usually pretty tame, and not the lesbo porn orgy scene that you might hope. And the company I'm sure would be mortified if they found out a rep was letting women share sex toys; the health risk is a legal liability.

A few years back my younger sister would hold these parties. I would help her carry the boxes of toys up the stairs of different apartment complexes. One night a female cop pulled me over and wanted to know what was in the boxes. I know I didn't have to tell her, but I did anyway. She was pretty interested so I gave her my sister's business card and she ended up hosting one of the parties.

I only attended two parties. I was helping put together a film for advertising purposes. Most women seemed not that interested. A few found it funny and one or two seemed to get a little turned on. Sadly there were no orgies or sex for me during this time. The closest I got was jerking off in one ladies bathroom when the women were eating cake. Following the other party I jerked off in my car on the way back home.

the more sex and sex opportunities the merrier! contrary to my sexual fantasies surrounding these parties, it's just a giggly sales opportunity; no more, no less (despite the videos you see on porn sites). masturbation is fun, everybody does it and I don't get why there is so much negativity surrounding it, especially for women. sit back and enjoy the ride buddy ;)

Salesperson:
What's it going to take to get one of these babies into you?

I personally would not like it at all. I would think it could cause her to subtly become increasingly dissatisfied with the real flesh and blood. There is too much of a concentration of male sexuality on one single body part and that can't be good.

Also, why is the idea of women using those things acceptable in society, while the idea of men using an artificial vajina or a blow-up doll has "loser" written all over it?

Putting my serious hat on for a second, I'm sure it's to do with new found female sexual freedom, which is really in its infancy. Male sexual freedom has been abundant since time began; it is only recently that females have been allowed to explore and enjoy sex in an open society and for it to be considered normal. It is just the next step which should be fully welcomed. The sooner society rejects their hang-ups about sex, the sooner we can all enjoy it in a far more open and guilt-free manner. Small steps, my friend ;) Men are past this stage and the idea of using tangible sexual substitutes is frowned upon. Everyone knows all guys wank like troopers with all the porn around and that is considered acceptable; unlike male sex toys. I'm sure that nothing comes close to the real thing for women; just like fake pussies for us I suppose.

^ ROFL!! The mere fact they sell those on Amazon is worrying. Next you know there'll be a shelf of them at Tesco's next to the "Tesco finest" vibrators range...
