Possibly her IL has waned, but meh, try it out regardless. The worst that could happen is she talking smug how she rejected you on Valentine's Day to her friends. Big deal.

She's doing the same pattern of behavior that she did before New Years which is playing hard to get. And you have to wonder why I didn't bother asking her out for New Years. It wasn't until her outburst after New Year was the first clear sign that she has some emotions invested. That's why I think her silent treatment is just another form of her playing hard to get.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
