Prof: Newtown Didn’t Happen
A professor is causing outrage over his claims that the Sandy Hook school shooting may not have happened.

The Daily Mail reported that James Tracy, a tenured history professor at Florida Atlantic University, wrote a lengthy post on his personal blog saying that the shooting may not have happened the way that it is widely believed, if it happened at all.

The 47-year-old professor bases his claims largely on the flurry of conflicting media reports that were made as news of the shooting was released throughout the day on Dec. 14.

To which,

[W]hat the conspiratorial mind sees as misinformation and lies, others see as merely perfectly ordinary incomplete and inaccurate information following a multifaceted tragedy. Especially in the hours and first days after such a chaotic and horrifying event, witnesses can be confused and mistaken. Police officers and reporters can misspeak, or be given incorrect information.

Not every single statement about what occurred, from dozens of different people in different places at different times, will agree in every detail. Three different witnesses to a minor car accident will often give three slightly different accounts of what they saw, so it's unrealistic to expect dozens of people who were involved in a chaotic school massacre to report exactly the same things.

Part of the reason that conspiracy theories linger is that any contradictory evidence—no matter how conclusive or compelling—can just be dismissed by claiming that it's part of the cover-up. There is ultimately no evidence that would satisfy most conspiracy theorists. Those who distrust the government will use any excuse to support their beliefs, logical or not. Conspiracy theorists prefer complex mysteries over simple truths, and find mystery where none exists.

Research has shown not only that a person who believes in one conspiracy theory is likely to support others, but also contradictions don't deter conspiracy theorists.

The idea that the Sandy Hook massacre was faked is not only absurd, but also an insult to the victims of the tragedy. The victims are really, provably gone; they are not safely hidden away somewhere until the Sandy Hook shooting has served its ultimate goal of taking away America's guns. The bullet holes are there. The children and adults are dead. Toxic conspiracies, however, will live on.

It seems the alternative media has been caught in purveying disinformation concerning the recent shootings in Connecticut, the father of one of the shooters, Peter Lanza and the London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) scandal. In fact, research proves that Lanza has no ties to the LIBOR debacle, nor is there documentative evidence that Lanza is scheduled to testify at an up-coming hearing regarding the technocratic scheme.

One alternative media source claims that: “Peter Lanza was scheduled to testify in the ongoing global LIBOR scandal. In what could only be described an amazing coincidence, the father of Colorado Batman shooter James Holmes, Robert Holmes, was also a LIBOR witness in his position with FICO.”

No citation links are provided to corroborate this assertion – simply the illusory connection is made which seems to be enough to shift an entire social meme and cause distraction from the actual factual evidence emerging about the shooting; as well as the implications of this event with regard to the 2nd Amendment.

The rumor circulating the internet is based on assertions without evidence, which is being paralleled with the assumptions made about James Holmes’ father and another alleged connection to LIBOR simply because Holmes’ father is a computer economist at FICO. In fact, a known disinfo agent was the originator of the Holmes/LIBOR connection, although the alternative media masses continue to repeat the lie without checking their facts.

I think the shooting happened basically as the police and government outlined, but the facts might have been altered to suit an agenda. It wouldn't be the first time that the government intentionally presented things inaccurately. What actually happened when Bin Ladin was killed, for one example.

In Sandyhook, I think whether an AR15 or handguns were used might be at question. Also, the possibility of prescription medications being a big factor in the shooting and other similar ones may be being brushed under the carpet.

The agenda is to further restricted guns rights of law abiding citizens, so every other factor is swept under the rug.
