I want to share an interview of Oliver Pineda and his dance partner coz I really liked his attitude towards her. For those who don't know this guy, he's one of the best and he sure know his way around women, as the following video clearly demonstrates. Having a whole group of girls standing around you, eagerly waiting for a chance to dance with you. Now that's how it's done! I love how one girl approaches him at 04:34 and then another one boldly steals him away from her.

Anyway, here's the interview. At one point, they talk about their relationship as dance partners and she mentions the word respect. Watch how he responds, and what he does to her on the street afterwards. I love the attitude... It's at 04:20

Salsa is turning out to be a major factor in my life when it comes to women. I'm experiencing many interface points between Salsa and developing my game, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So I was thinking we could use this thread to discuss all things Salsa related, feel free to join in

I mentioned this in my Club Pickup thread. I learned the basic salsa steps on youtube and turned it into a fun, playful and successful technique to escalate physical contact. It basically involves teaching the moves to the girl you just met. You can do it at the bar, in the hallway anywhere really. If she already knows the moves, ask her to "teach" you instead.

Yes, Bugsquish! When I go social dancing, I always prey on girls who don't know anything and I try to teach them the basic steps. It always creates great chemistry, you'll laugh a lot etc.

Great - glad you are enjoying Salsa. Enjoy it for its rich history, incredible music and culture.

Please anyone watching this video, do some research and don't ever believe 'videos' or whatever on face value. People can act very differently off camera etc/you do not get the full story.

If you ever knew what really happened behind the scenes in dancing, then you could write a million books

What happens in the video is a typical steal dance to celebrate someone's birthday, or if he/she is new to the scene, or about to leave the local scene and relocate somewhere else (welcome / farewell dances) or some other special occasion. It is not a result of any kind of Game. Having said that, if you're a well known great dancer AND a handsome guy, it helps...

Dancing and Game are tightly related. In a partner dance, the man leads, the woman follows. That's the basics of Game too.

JItterbug, I understand you dance a lot too. Lets be realistic. Superficially and as an introductory concept, sure dancing is man lead, woman follow.

From experiences across the world, dancers have not got it figured out more than any other area. Its about the person. There are lots of dancers with oneitis/AFC/millions of women but don't have their lives together.

Plus, at higher levels, it is never black and white, man lead/woman follow.

My point - dancing is GREAT for dancings sake, great music, culture, meet some new people etc. But their is no panacea/magic pill for life and women. I believe that dancing can be abused as a substitute for learning solid social skills that can be used anywhere (eg. interesting conversation skills).
