"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I think women are notorious for this kind of thing. I think this is why they never come alone...because if there aren't any men they don't find appealing there, they can at least find a table and talk to each other....purposely making themselves unapproachable.

I recall one time where a married male friend of mine said he was bringing 2 single ladies with him to a private party, which was an hour away in the big city.

Me and him knew the host and when we all got there, he introduced me to them. They were actually from my area (small town)...so hey, when I get back home, I could hit them up since they are so geographically desirable. lol

After the introductions, I mingled with my already existing friends , about an hour later, the 2 ladies never left their spot, they didn't even mingle around.

I go up to them and ask them, "Having a good time? You mingle around get to know anyone?"

And they said they were there to just get out of the house and not there to make any friends. I was like "Wow!"

They wound up leaving early, they wanted to go dancing with their married friend apparently.

So they stuck with the people they already knew, but sometimes I wonder if they do that if no one there ....attractive...appeals to them?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

It was actually his ex-wife and her friend. He was actually newly married and his current wife was working a night shift (night nurse). Yeah, I questioned him on it too, and he got all defensive. lol

"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

People do what they want, and BS you when they want to too. If they were approached by the right guy I guarantee you things would be different.

Sounds to me like you were a little bit jealous (or alot) and they picked up on it.
