"In our love-starved culture, both men and women are desperately looking for a connection with someone. At our innermost core of self, we are relational creatures. We crave a deep and lasting bond with another human beings. Someone we can trust, with our deepest secrets, and our scariest moments and our darkest, most wicked fantasies. Someone we can rely on to never betray us and to love us as we have always secretly desired to be loved. And if we can't have that in real life, we at least want our beloved fictional characters to have it. "

This is so true and interesting. However, when considering what a "Romance" novel really is, it's kind of awkward.

For men, it's true that porn is equivalent to romance novels for women. But as men, we all know the dangers of watching porn, relying on it, how it shapes your behavior negatively, or always seeking out content to satisfy your dopamine cravings.

I am not referring to "clean" Romance novels here, which do not contain explicit content. But isn't a romance novel with spicy, dangerous, abusive, etc., content similar to porn for men? Could it be risky for women?

Many women claim that spicy romance novels enhance their desire in their relationships, or help them express their secret fantasies with their partners. But are these fantasies solely influenced by the books they read? For instance, if a man doesn't watch a specific type of porn, he may not desire to engage in such acts. Is this accurate?

Therefore, I am curious to learn more about spicy/obscure "Romance" novels that captivate women. As a man, once I stopped seeking out porn and focused on understanding psychology, I began to feel significantly better. Relying on media, such as the "porn way," for emotional enhancement is not the ideal way to live for both men and women.

I've read many of those novels, and the SMUT ones are like reading satanic things for me.
Is that what women reads?
