Real Life Experience: "I Just Needed You"

It takes TWO things for a relationship between a man and a woman to flourish.

1. Attraction - This is everything that makes her wet between the legs. Your masculinity. Your confidence. Your ability to fearlessly escalate. You able to have other women swoon over you. etc etc.

2. Rapport - A lot less talked about but nonetheless just as important. The main reason its talked about less, its because building rapport is far easier than building attraction. Rapport is connecting emotionally with a woman to the point that she trusts you completely and feels "attached". Rapport is what makes a woman "love you" instead of just finding you irresistibly hott.

Rapport can be generated through a myriad of things, but one of the most important is simply "being there" for a woman. What does this all encompass?

-Be the man she trusts the most
-Be the man who she sees as her "best friend" (truly; not LJBF)
-Be the man who can solve any problem with relative ease.
-Be the man who fixes things(physically)
-Be the man who makes bad things go away and can turn any bad day around

For the past few weeks my girlfriend has been stressing about this one class. She graduates this semester and already has a job lined up. Shes been so anxious about finishing that she had a dream the other night were she failed this one class and prevented her from graduating. Now back to real life...mid-terms roll around and the professor(btw can they get any sh1ttier in this country, jeez) puts things on the test that he has not taught in class and I guess expected everyone to know the answers. The class finishes with an average score of 41/100.

Obviously she is not thrilled with the outcome and is not happy with the teacher. She ends up breaking down that day and cries. She has never failed a class in her life and the pressure of finishing school coupled with the stress of beginning a new job has reached a certain threshold. Whose the first person she turns to? Her mom? One of her best girlfriends? No......she turns to me. What in the he11 does a man do in this situation?

YOU FVCKING LISTEN. Let her talk. Nod your head in agreement and hold her. This is seen as typical boyfriend duty and I agree. You should be the STRONGER of the two. From time to time expect a woman to lean on your strength in times of need. She said something to me that really stood out, and the main reason I created this thread.....

"Thank You....I just needed you"

This is true relationship game. When a woman comes to for strength. And im talking REAL STRENGTH, not the strength or advice that a "male friend" gives. LJBF's advice goes in one ear and right out the other. Women are emotional beings......you better know how to speak their language....or you will never be able to maximize your happiness and/or commitment from one.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Can totally vouch for this E, I'm seeing a girl that came about from a ONS but now it's much more.

She see's me as her best friend (there's no friendzone, we **** like rabbits ;))
If she's got **** to deal with she comes to me, if she's had a **** day she comes to me etc.

You just gotta listen folks, there's alot on the boards about being an emotional tampon etc but let me tell you, **** the girl first then do the listening ****
Too many guys go with the whole listening **** and then try to **** the girl, doesn't work that way fellas.

Women have sex with men so they'll listen to them talk and men listen to women talk so they'll have sex with them.
If you've already listened to the women, why the **** is she going to sleep with you?

Good post.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Good for you man.

Sex is still the barometer of a healthy relationship. I firmly believe after a certain amount of time experiencing one night stands and having dozens of fvck buddies a man may yearn for something more. Not all men....but some. Just as the "playboy" was such an iconic figure and what every man wanted to be....I think the new iconic figure is the "alpha dad" were we look to raise a good family and pass on our masculinity to our sons.
You just gotta listen folks, there's alot on the boards about being an emotional tampon etc
Of course there is.

A lot of members have overdosed on the red pill and instead of changing their mindset and seeking growth....they choose to wallow in misery and complain about how sh1tty women are and how they always cheat or manipulate men.

Great input.

I failed to include the mindset in which you need. It is exactly as Vlad states.....you cannot be the guy who responds "oh baby, I am so happy I could make your feel better. I would do anything for you". Remember....its never a "big deal".
