Revertion to AFCism! HELP!

I think I reverted back to 100% AFC-ism last night.

SUMMARY:
AFC night. HB8. She just moved here. Works by my office. Is there an effective damage control after a long AFC day with her?


Went out with some girl and it completely sucked. Thing is she's very hot and fun, but either the connection was not there or I just couldn't step up to the plate.

Yesterday was the 3rd time I've seen her. I got her # a couple of weeks ago. Then held off on the first date for over a week. When we met, we did the wine thing... it went great... Kiss at the end of the night, though no making out... which in my book is a mistake... I usually behave civil and don't even TRY to kiss her until the second date.

Yesterday we spent all day together and there was an air of awkwardness the entire time. We did mini-golf and the weather just made it really uncomfortable (sticky sweaty). We had late lunch/dinner and that went well, except that she defended herself against a kiss. Then came to my house for a few hours and played Wii and she still put up a lot of defenses...

We later met up with some friends of mine and yeah, we all had fun but the night ended with a non-make out kiss. FAK! And we were both drunk!

It's not like I've fallen completely back into AFC ism. I had a girl over on Friday night and today I'm doing Sunday Funday (a daytime bar crawl) with this other hot chick I bang every once in a while... it's just that last night was horrible from the DJ perspective.

Also, this girl lives not far from my house and works like a mile from where I do. She's a good one to keep around.

HELP REQUEST:
So what can I do, guys? Did I lose her AFC-style by trying too hard? I think I must insist a little on her, so I'm thinking of calling her on TUE, maybe WED and suggesting an activity date (maybe bowling since I let her beat me at Wii bowling). I'll be in Ukraine for work for 2 weeks soon, so I want to leave on a good note, if possible.

Personally, I would next her. 2 dates, not making out, weird vibe.

But, that's just me. As of late, I've been erring on the side of being very conservative, and not letting anyone LJBF me. Things move forward on the first couple dates, or I move on.

One piece of advice that I've read on this forum, and I think I have to credit Guru with it, if memory servers correct, is to only surround yourself with women with high interest levels. I've been working towards that, and it's served me well.

Why did you make the second date last 10+ hours?! Especially if it sucked. Sounds like you were too attached to the outcome hoping to make it happen and she picked up on it. You might not be able to recover from this. I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't return your calls.

But heck, you might as well give it one more shot. You've got nothing to lose at this point. Maybe organize a thing with friends (including some girls) and tell her you're doing some fun group activity and suggest to her that she 'tag along'. If she accepts, IOD and DHV like crazy.

DHV is anything that makes you look socially good. Tell a good joke... get greeted by people. Etc...
