"She Wants a Man, Not a Boy"

You asked her if she wanted to grab coffee. Then you asked if the time worked. Then you asked if the place was okay. Then you asked if she'd prefer tea.

Four questions. Four chances for her to say no. Four signals that you're terrified of making a decision.

Plan it. Pick the place. Pick the time. Tell her where to meet you. She'll either show up or she won't.

Either way, you look like a man instead of a scared little boy.

I use this alot to get a few smiles and laugh's i mainly do this out of fun =P

Me: Would you date a guy that lived in a tent?

If she says No : i mean what if it was a really cool tent?

Normally she'd ask why or yes even: well my friend, lives in a tent, and his well self concious about it, like if he ever brung a girl home and stuff, i mean what if it was a really cool tent?

Her: bla bla

Me: what if this tent was nearby a sewage system tho, do you think a girl could handle the smell?

Her: bla bla bla

Me: maybe if he had some air freshner...

Her: bla bla

Me: because hed always come to mine and he'd smell like sh!t, id ask him why and his like oh i live near the sewage system!

Her: bla bla

Me: what if he asked you to move in though, i mean i dont think a girl could get acustomed to the fact that she'd end up leaving smelling like crap

this gets a few giggles, breaks the ice, remember the importance of canned lines, there here so you got something to go with, until then make your own openers..

Good luck!

lol, you only understand the fancy writing don't you Hyori? I think you also understand me directing a question at you is an insult. It's called an opener, to be more exact, an ice breaker.

These are easy to come up with on the fly. There are a few Family guy parody's and they explain how to make an ice breaker opener. I think Southpark did a parody on Friends with the thought balls and manitees. It's just picking random things from out of the blue and making connections. It's one of the corny secrets of cheap comedy.

It's simply another piece of the puzzle.

I fall back on stories of old friends, books I've read, games I played as a kid, games I hear girls played as kids, what I saw on TV the night before, what's in the newspaper, something that may affect my life in the future...

LOL, It's an okay opener thought DJSparky, in the start, with the "what if it was a really cool tent" is good stuff, caught my attention... It goes downhill with the living next to a sewage sytem though;) I'd simply ask why your friend doesn't stop living next to a sewage system. If you respond with anything other than an answer, I'd tell you to stop talking about it.
