Responding to Flattery from a Plate

Just curious how an "alpha" responds to flattery. For instance, if a girl tells you "you're so nice and sweet how did I ever get so lucky" or "you make me so happy" how do you respond in a masculine way? My inclination is to react with an "aww thats so great" but I have a feeling that is not the sexiest answer or response. Please provide your suggestions.

Yeah, "Aaw that's so great" wouldn't be a powerful response. It's too emotional.

I usually just say "Thank you" in a matter-of-fact way, with a small smile or half-smile. Also a brief look directly in the eyes then break. For me at least, this conveys that I'm used to being complimented but I appreciate hers.

Sometimes compliments are just compliments.

A simple 'thanks' is all I've ever needed.

Why are you freaking out about trying to sound all alpha?

Trying too hard is the clearest signal that you aren't.
