Story's fake but was a fun read. How do I know it was fake? There is no way you can get into an iphone that ISN'T already jail broken with Cydia. Even if he transported an "app" he would still have to physically use Cydia in order to activate its Shell system much less update Cydia itself. An app that removed passcodes doesn't even exist in Cydia anyway, he would have to have downloaded a 3rd party but again... Getting it ON the phone is the issue. He would have to have installed all of that BEFORE she changed anything.

Also, "removing" Cydia(unjailbreaking) means he would have had to have created a back up of the phones file AND also a separate storage system(maybe drop box) in order to save images and contacts which means he would still need physical access in order to activate a Shell.

And he did, and LEARNED, all of this before she came back? Get out of here. If you're locked out of a phone you're locked out. End of story.

He didn't specify the type of phone she had. It could have very well been an Android or some other type.

Regardless of authenticity it was a very interesting read. Looking forward to reading the update after he meets with the divorce attorney.

I realized my wife is cheating on me. I took a moment to realize that this was the end of our marriage. All of our happy times, our foreign trips, and our romantic nights must have meant nothing to her. I put the phone down and went to the bathroom to freshen up while Jenny was still sleeping.

Haha. This is obviously a fake. The sound is pure fiction, and what I would consider bad fiction at that. A bunch of stereotypes, overly detailed descriptions, too much attention to not getting the reader lost. 50 shades of grey for men. Cheap script-writing to the top. Do you wonder why it's "a good read"? Well, it's just like a cheap scripted reality TV show. Everything is explained and fool-proof, they want to make sure you're following.

Style matters aside: If you're in emotional turmoil or have just gone through it a few days ago, no way would you be able to write such a long text. Nor would you pay such neurotic attention to details that are com-plee-tely irrelevant:
"She went to the bathroom and I heard her phone vibrate loudly since it was placed on the bathroom countertop."
Or this:
"Jenny was furious, she walked into the kitchen, got a bottle of water and slammed the refrigerator door."
Bleah.

I suspect the guy is a bored copywriter or blogger, and I guess he owned Reddit with his prank. Well, it makes a fun read for some, so he did his job well. Watch out for a follow-up, when it is suddenly "discovered" that he made it all up ....
