"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Wow. I need help. Theres this girl I REALLY like a lot (i want to be her boyfriend). Ive been goin out on dates wit her for about a month now.

Everythings been going great until now. As I was going out to pick her up, I realized i had a red mark on my neck that looked like a hickey. It was NOT A hickey! I have a sensitive neck and when I shave, sometimes that happens.
I didnt really think anything of it, I figured she wouldnt even notice it.

Sure enough, she asks me if its a hickey. I laughed (im a moron 4 laughing) and said it wasnt, and I cut myself shaving. (which was the truth, but i laughed when i said it). She said that the area it was in isnt a place that a person would shave. In otherwords, she assumed that the red mark was a hickey, and said she "didnt care if it was".

I guess u can say that ive been a player up until i met her. I always went out wit bunches of girls simulataneously. tons of girls leave me messages on myspace/facebook... lots of girls say hi to me when we are walking around campus... she knows i know a lot of girls. One girl even tried to kiss me infront of her in the club.

This girl that I like is not your typical girl . She is really sweet (not a slut), and has a very nice family. She is a genuine nice girl. [dont give me **** that all girls are the same, this one isnt some crack-*****].

I called her up today (first time i spoke to her since she asked me if it was a hickey). On the phone she is usually very up beat- and alive. she was dead on the phone - and there were alot of silences (usually there are none). I asked her what was wrong and she said she is sick of studying for her final exams, and she will feel better when they are all over. She said she didnt feel like talking on the phone and she was almost going to send me a text message to tell me that she was studying instead of actually calling me. I said i'll let her go finish studying and she said 'ok ill talk to u later in the week'. This sounded like bull**** to me that she was 'sick of studying'. I am the king of studying (I study more than anyone you know) and I am never upset, especially when some1 i really like calls me. Come to think of it, I study every day. If i was upset every time i studyed id be a pretty depressed person.

Overall, I feel that it is over with this girl. She is a nice girl who probably thinks I am some player. I am going to keep it cool and just call her later in the week and ask her to c a movie she wanted to see (thats how we left off last time i saw her in person).

Please respond with thoughts an opinions. I will greatly appreciate it b/c I am feeling pretty upset right now.

"She Liked You in March. It's October Now."

Attraction runs on a clock.

She flirted for weeks. Touched your arm. Found reasons to be alone with you. And you were careful. Respectful. Waiting for the right moment.

The moment had a shelf life. It expired around month two, and by the time you asked her out, she'd quietly filed you under "little brother."

One of the hardest lessons inside the 22 Rules: women rarely wait. Interest either grows or it decays, and nothing decays it faster than a man who never moves.

Make the move while she's still inventing reasons to be near you.

You can't solve a chick's self esteem problems.

I've had several women accuse me of having hickeys and crap. It's either

A) They have low self esteem and are projecting that by showing their insecurities

or

B) Feeling guilty about something THEY have done

Either way if a chick pulls this kind of crap more than once you are probably better off without her.

Claim Her.

Bring it up.

"Are you pissed coz you think I have a hicky?"

"No!"

"Well you shouldn't be coz its not and I've decided you are my woman."

That way you can express commitment without being needy or submissive or weak.

Good luck.

Until you are not exclusive with her you are considered a "free agent" and you can do whatever the hell you want. If a chick becomes overly defensive and jealous over this, especially this early then imagine what kind of tantrum she will be throwing when you cut yourself after shaving when you are in a relationship.

Go get yourself a real hickey from another girl so she will have something real to be upset about. You are already guilty so what difference will this make, she will still be upset but at least this time it will be justifiable.

she didn't make a big deal about it. im just thinking that maybe she wasnt so friendly on the phone because she was upset about it? she isn't a jealous girl at all.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.

Down South. Between the Y junction.
The solution is to not even bother about it... she'll get over it and things will get back to normal... when that happens, and you can get the courtship back on track, test drive her more thoroughly. If she is too jealous etc... end it or find someone else and then end it.
