I'm really fascinated with the Texan landscapes in the region midway El Paso and Odessa, which extends a 100 miles towards the Mexican border. I think that's one of the most remote areas in the USA and I'd like to know how much can the land cost over there per acre/hectar. Also, is it possible to buy over there or is there some government restriction or who-knows-what?

What are other extremely remote (and cheap) lands in the USA?
