"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

Hey ya'll
Met this girl through friends a month or so ago. We have only been able to hang out a couple of times, first time at my friends party where i met her(I had just moved to the area..) then next at my place with other people, just drinking, she gave me her digits, quite a bit of physical contact -but she was drunk enough i felt it was wrong to do any sort of move on her.
It's been quite apparent we are attracted to each other. Her friends make it rather obvious. Prob is, she's been out of town quite a bit, making matters harder on top of her schedule being Fffffd up (she's basically on call 45 hours every week, and doesnt get to know her schedule until the day of...). This has left little opportunity to plan ahead, and when it looked like the smoke was clearing a bit, she went on vacation overseas with her girlfriend (planned from long ago..).

As a result, the more time that passes by, the more understandable it is for her interest level to drop, and even mine too. Any suggestions on "restarting" attraction? she'll be back soon, and she has suggested going on a trip together ever since the party we had - and she brought this up b4 she left on vacation again. The other times I've seen her, I've payed more attention to her friends while throwing in bits of "good" attention to her here and there, trying to be ambiguous in my comments, developing social proof, a compliment or two with a neg hit or two. And of course, tons of charm.

She cancelled on lunch on me the other day because of her scheduling, and offered a call the next day if she could make it instead, but this was the day b4 her vacation and as a result was busy as heck packing on top of having to work. That night when I saw her, she was trying to appologize, so I told her I had already gone to the place with other people (which obviously shocked her... in a youblewmeoff sorta way lol) and just played it cool.

I just feel like things are sorta blanding down, and I'm loosing the battle to time and circumstances rather than to her. I know i need to do something quick once she gets back. Suggestions?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

There's nothing to re-start. It's all a hundred ways of saying the same thing "on call 24/7" = "I'm too busy to see you" = "I'm not interested".

doesnt get to know her schedule until the day of...
LOL, come on, there is no job like that. I don't care if she's an ER doctor. Nobody says, "You're shift is sometime between 6 am and midnight. We'll call you on your cell exactly 7 and a half minutes before your shift starts. So get ready to sprint."
