I liked stemp, he had some ok speed but he had to go to make room. We have Yandle now. Best d-corps and arguably the best and most balanced offense. Plus Lundqvist is coming back. Only can maybe see us losing in the finals to a big team like Anaheim, but other than that I don't see anybody stopping us.
The east is tough. Good luck with that. I cant see the Rangers beating the Isles in a series when they meet (and Im sure theyll meet in the playoffs). The Islanders have choked away the last 2 games against the Rangers, but remember, this is a young and hungry team that likely wants revenge.
They have a lot of momentum behind them in their last season out east on Long Island.
However, when I really get down to it, Montreal or Pittsburgh is my team to come out of the east. Montreal is strong on defense...with defencemen who play tough and can score. Can you tell Im a PK Subban fan xD

Nobody cares about hockey.
I do think the Cavs have a chance to take the NBA championship. Irving is really impressing.
I dont watch much hockey, and its pretty down on my list of fave sports, but I cannot deny that it has a following. Because the Islanders have finally been competitive the last few years, and because they are in their last year before moving to a new location, Ive become a bit more interested.
Usually, like many Americans, I dont watch hockey until the playoffs. Its a good playoff sport if you give it a chance.
Mainly though, Im a soccer guy. And the MLS is growing big in the USA. 2 new teams this year in big markets.
