Race or Background Have an Impact?

Hey Everyone!

My first post on here! Really glad I found this place. Anyway, a little introduction of myself. I'm a 17 yr old guy living in BC, Canada.

Well a popular topic has come up amongst my friends. This is not meant to be racist, but as I see it, it seems to be true. I think they based their assumptions on a statistic. Anyway, they say that asian girls are more attracted to caucasian guys.

I don't want to believe it, but it's a common sight here. Perhaps it's just here, but there are other cliche instances in shows (and actually a girl friend told me that she was attracted to a foreign exchange student), but what is it about foreign guys that instantly attract women? It's as if they had one of the things women subconsciously look for (wealth, means, looks, etc).

I'd like to get some male and female input and settle this truth or myth once and for all.

Yup, listen to The Shezzler. What's on the outside don't really matter if your inner-game is good.

But as a point of interest, I think you're right shadowstormz. People like someone/thing that is unique. In this case, people from a different country.

And as an Asian Guy, I find caucasians/american's to be hotter than asian girls. It's just natural.

Yeah its because they see something they aren't used to, chicks often find accents to be sexy for some odd reason. Pick up a nice French or russian accent if you can. Or, of course, screw it and stay how you are and use other methods.

I've also noticed asian girls seem to go more for white guys..

It depends on the foreign dude. If hes a small creepy stalker dude.. then no. But lifestyles are different in different locations.


Even in the U.S. (I can say this cause I have lived in both for quite some time) IM GENERAL people in the north are more uptight, and southerners are IN GENERAL more laid back and drink alot more.

Maybe the asian girl likes a white guy cause shes never dated one? But I don't think its wierd or anything...

lol i remember this black girl told me once she liked me! also, one day, i was at the mall wit my friend, we just went there to look for some markers and we went in to go to the food court, well we were sitted eatin and talkin about the markers and this bunch of girls said hi to us! lol and we never even seen them before! the bad this is, that we decided to look for them like in wat? 1 or 2 minutes after that, and we lost them! lol

Well it's the change and surprise and how he's different. I like every race and there's no preference for me though I generally go for white girls because that's all I see. lol. But yeah they seem to find something appealing about different races.

white guys are more attractive than asian guys because asian eyes are a culturally femenine feature, a lot have really wide noses, and most are shorter and less built.

Well, as my previous (and asian) girlfriend can attest, us white guys just pleasure them more. Haha, just kidding, but seriously it race and background do influence whether girls find you attractive or not. Anyone who says "girls only care what's on the inside, no matter the color of your skin" are bsing you, though it is true that you can still be succesful no matter your race. I think the reason that girls (and many guys, as well) are attracted to "exotic" members of the opposite sex is because they provide variety. If you're white, though you still enjoy white women, you've probably been around them so often that you something new seems better.

It's true for a lot of guys too. I LOVE a girl with a European accent. SO sexy.

If youre mexican and youre trying to appeal to a white girls who is really preppy and you come off as a ghetto ass mexican, youre not going to appeal to her very much..... But if you at least speak proper english, and dress decently, and make a good first impression then there will be no problem.

lol that's because they're southern chinese
about 80% of all the chinese overseas in north america are southern chinese; in particular from Hong Kong or guangdong

the small bone structure and the wide nose is a phenotype of a typical southern chinese

try going to northern china to provinces like hebei (the province where beijing is located) or some northern provinces,
you'll see that the "asians" there are a lot bigger boned and tall

i'm not trying to dis southern asians cuz i was born in Hong Kong myself.

Genetically, i'm northern chinese but culturally i'm southern chinese

Here to give you some statistics

the average height of hong kong: 5'5 for males

the average height of the US: 5'8

the average height of people in beijing: 5'9

growing up with southern chinese yeah.. they're a lot more feminen and skinny

i'm 5'10 and i tower over most of em
but when you put me into a group of northern chinese i'm not tall, i'm actually quite short

having said that.. the southern asian girls in north america aren't very attractive either... what are you guys thinking? lol

white girls or nothern chinese/korean girls are the way to go

When regarding this subject, I like to think of what Juliet said in Romeo and Juliet, it wen't something like this, "A rose if called by any other name, would smell just as sweet." The point is, it's not your race that matters, but it's who YOU are that matters. If Michael Jordan was white, it wouldn't matter, because he would still be Michael Jordan, regardless of race.
