"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I'm having this girl over tomorrow. I figure we'll do some fun stuff; air hockey, play some hoops (the broad thinks she can school me) and relax and watch a movie. I just needed something else that could take up a little time. She'll probably get to my house about 6ish and leave about 10ish. I figure all that stuff mentioned will take up most of the time, but I want some sort of backup in case we either finish that stuff or get tired from the hoops n things.

Rather be safe than sorry ya know. It's a game killer to run out of stuff to do.:box:

Also, I was figuring since the last time we went to the movies I picked and we saw The Hills Have Eyes (gory as f*ck, but great) I'd rent a comedy this time.

Whats one of the funniest movies I could rent?

"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

if you want to have a boring date then rent a funny movie, i tried it on a girl once, the effect wasnt great, most guys dont relise this is a crap way to kill time and it doesnt get you any were.
I suggest you do something more active, after shooting the hoops you could go cycling or something, just make sure you get her blood flowing when you are around, that way she associates excitement and happyness with you.

I should probably mention that I'm on house arrest. Going anywhere past my driveway will get the cops sent to my house. Good idea, but not practical. I was thinking about renting the Exorcist. Definitely something I want to see, even if she doesn't.

And she's hell bent on getting one of my highly requested massages, that might take up a little bit of time.

Just curcious but why are oyu on house arrest?

Oh and as much as i love cycleing, doing just sports with a girl isnt such a good idea, it wont work well. Nothing wrong with a film! You could order a pizza, eating kills some time!

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.

Fair game? makes me want to come along and steal your woman.

Anyway, don't rent a comedy. Chances are the humour will get stale, and from there on, things always to downhill.

Keep physically active. Your idea of shootin' some hoops is gold.

If you take my woman from me, it means you got more game. Simple as that. Gotta do what I can to prevent it.

She ended up telling me she loved war movies, so I jumped on that chance, but like I said, we didn't really watch it. Played some air hockey, and after about 5 minutes on my futon, we kind of got "distracted" as she puts it.
