"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Hi guys, quick question here. Around 2 months ago, I met this girl on a meetup.com event, got her number and proceeded to arrange a date. She cancelled the first time and rearranged for another date, which I accepted. The next date, she did the same thing and (wrongly) I accepted another new date. When the final date came, she stood me up and didnt reply to my texts.

Now I realize the mistakes I did as I should have never accepted the 2nd reschedule, but now I´m probably meeting her again on friday on another meetup event, so my question is, how should I proceed? Just ignore her? Say Hi and then never speak to her after that?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

I would go with indifference. Genuine indifference. Don't go out of your way to speak to her, but don't be impolite/butthurt either.

If you bump in to her say hi, and be friendly, but she's just another face in the crowd from now on. And yes, just talk to other girls.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

She is nothing to you until you get her out. Since she hasn't been out with you... she is nothing.

BTW, you didn't do anything wrong... you made a date, she asked for a reschedule you gave it. She flaked chicks do that, forget bout her... onto the next one.

She cancelled on you three times and stopped responded to your messages? AND you are still willing to meet up with her? Have some self-respect and dignity. Simple fix, don't meet up w/her again.

My advise: don't schedule another date with her lol.

If she approaches you to apologize, just tell her no worries since "you're obviously not compatable" and smile and walk off.

You owe her nothing, but still keep your cool.

Don't forget the 12 dozen roses with a personalized card (preferably a love poem you spent days of your valuable time composing), balloons, chocolates (Swedish of course) and a human size teddy bear.

It will be a grand slam! Just like in the Disney and Hallmark movies! Don't forget to have a ring in your pocket, just in case, so you have the option to propose after she cries in utter joy. Have some close friends and family members blend into the crowd so they can enjoy this big moment with you.

Don't forget to hire a video guy to capture this incredible moment and to post on SS for all us DJs to enjoy!

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

I'm convinced that often, flakes occur because she thinks she should feel good about going out with you, but she's looking for a certain emotion to pop up to green-light the meeting. When she doesn't get that feeling, she flakes.

Rescheduling or even scheduling a date should always be under your terms. As a man, you lead by picking the time and date. Now with that particular girl you're pursuing may be too late for this. She lost interest and moved on. You should do the same. Just make sure you keep in mind about setting up dates should be under your terms. The initial date, and even the rescheduling.
