"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Hi all im new to the boards.

been married for 7 years.
I was with a ball buster for those 7 years and was a total whimp with her.

Been divorced for about 6 months, am learning thru this website, to reclaim my former style (Ba11s) ? for loss of a better term. But as I said its been 7 years.
I am older and not all the wiser.
I'm wondering how do you know if the woman is in a relationship at the time you want to initiate?

I know this may be a dumb question I know, no ring, but what else? I'm working from scratch here. I know how to talk to women, but, am a little hesitant. have read the DJ Bible a few times.
Thanks TheDnT

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

Well first of all, I'd like to say, CONGRATULATIONS!

Now you probably finally have some air to breathe... and start a more satisfying life.

As far as you wanting to date again, that's great. I wouldn't get too hurried to get back in a relationship after just 6 months though, but I'm almost sure you don't! As far as knowing whether a girl is taken or not, you just have to take that chance and treat each one who doesn't have a ring as if they're not. I know you want to know for sure before you initiate, but that's not possible. Sometimes they will tell you, and you'll go DOH! inside, but that's part of the game.

great question. one i spent a long time pondering.

as you might be able to tell from many of my posts, i'm a big fan of figuring things out to the best of my ability - especially when it comes to human nature. i believe that with enough insight and understanding of the human condition, you can predict A LOT of what is or will happen in terms of people's behaviors to any given stimuli.

that said, this is the ONE area that i don't think i'll ever figure out.

but i don't feel so bad because i don't think anyone can figure it out. at the end of the day women love to flirt - whether they are married, have a bf, or are single. regardless of their status they all act the same!

when they are married the ring tells you what you need to know.

but its impossible to tell if they have a bf. they purposely DON'T mention him during a conversation, or even hint at the fact. why? because they want to flirt with you. they know that the moment you are aware that they have a boyfriend that you will move on to greener pastures (well most guys do, not all). moreover, to continue to flirt with you after she's told you she has a boyfriend doesn't speak well to her character (in her mind at the very least).

this way she can flirt away, then you ask her out (giving her an ultimate ego rush), then she says she's got a boyfriend and the whole thing can be chalked up to you being a dim witted male who takes a female being friendly as a sign that she was interested in you. (note my sacracsm! most of the time they ARE flirting and they ARE trying to get your attention and interest. but when you try to close they have to explain away their behavior as simply 'friendliness', because after all they have a boyfriend).

hehe. anyway, its all good. just go out there, yack away with the ladies, then ask them to dinner.

if you get 20 'oh sorry, i've got a boyfriend' then start worrying about your ability to meet women. but until then, just keep swinging at the plate - eventually you'll hit one.

Most women are varying degrees of single (even if they have a boyfriend).

Don't worry about it, just do what you gotta do.

"How I Made Sure No Woman Ever Friend-Zoned Me Again"

She calls you when her car breaks down. When she needs help moving. When some guy she's actually dating treats her badly.

You're the listener. The reliable one. The guy who would treat her so much better, if she'd just open her eyes.

She won't. You trained her to see you as the low-effort option — the friend who requires zero risk and zero investment. Every favor dug the hole deeper.

The "22 Rules" break the pattern. You'll stop auditioning for a role she already cast and become the man she chases instead. It starts with Rule 1.
