"The Coffee Shop Girl You Never Spoke To"

You've replayed it a hundred times. She stood three feet away, scrolling her phone. You had an opening. You composed the perfect line — after she was gone.

For all you know, she's married now. To some guy who said something. Anything.

Openers are cheap. Almost any sentence works when it's delivered within three seconds. The expensive part is the standing there, drafting and deleting, while the window quietly closes.

The "22 Rules" stripped out my hesitation. What to open with, how to keep it alive, and the one habit that costs guys more women than anything else: waiting for perfect.

I noticed someone saying picking up cashiers. Well I tried it today. Every day, at 7:30AM I goto the same cashier and get my drink before my 8AM class. Well today, I just started talking to her (note: I wasn't worried about getting the number, as it is wed. I will try for the number on friday). Since no one was there yet. I had a solid 5-10 min quick talk with her. I got her name, her major and a few other minor details. I told her I would talk to her later. I pass the stand about 5 times a day, but I only talked to her that once. So I figure if I talk to her once a day, since I will always be getting my drink there, keeping these small talks, I should be able to get a phone number/find out if she is single. NOTE: I am not a DJ, nor am I really into just looking for sex (I had a gf who wanted nothing BUT sex once and it got boring fast.. she always wanted the same thing "because it was awesome". While i wanted to experient). Now my question is, would this be a good move for a cashier (since it breaks the barrier of mandatory niceness)?

"She Made Her Decision Before You Finished Your Sentence"

Three seconds. That's how long it took. Your shoes. Your posture. The way you held your drink. Whether you looked at the floor or looked at her.

She already filed you away. Interesting. Boring. Safe. Bold. Before you even opened your mouth.

Everything you say after that is just her confirming what she already decided.

So stop rehearsing lines. Fix the first three seconds. Stand tall. Look up. Smile like you mean it. Walk like you belong wherever you're standing.

The words come later. The impression comes first.

In that situation, only if she seems genuinely interested in you, I would tap her on the shoulder/arm when I walked by her one of those five times.

Pay attention to her response.

It would be too noticeable.. the direction I come from, I would have to make a special trip around the backside of her booth just to do that

Her booth sits right outside our Union Building. on the left side. When I exit the union building, all my classes are making a right turn. I can try, coming back from my 8AM class and walk behind her booth then (thats the only concivable time I can do it and it NOT being obvious I am going that way).

Diablo: I will read that thread later (I just glanced through). I would think there would be a big difference between waitress's and Cashiers.. Waitress's job is to "get to know you", while a cashier doesn't have to. Flirting with Waitress is very fun though!
As I said, I only GLANCED at the article.

Edit: I read through. the parts that are particularly useful to Cashiers is "being her favorite customer". Which, is basically what the small talk is for (she exclaimed "it is always boring out here...")

Definitely try that. Suttle things like KINO are VERY valuable when gauging a chicks interest level.

If you're lucky she may start touching you all the time when you get your coffee. If she does so you're probably in.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

heh, I get a pepsi (Because I need a twist cap to take it into my class), and I always come @ 7:30 on the nose... maybe she will have it nice and cold for me and waiting for when I come :)

Edit: yes, I an punctual on my time I get to class, because I have too much trouble waking up for class, so if I get to the stand at 7:30 (30 min before class), I can get some caf in me, had a nice brisk walk to it, and a chance to cool down (cause it is muggy)

Update:

Continued talking to her, very little yesterday then alot today. I basically "ignored her" yesterday, when I got my drink. Today we kept making the key eye contact. We talked about weekend plans (found out she is painting her house this weekend), and found out about the relationship she is in. A 2 year relationship, but for the last 6 months she hasn't seen him (she moved to Oklahoma, then he left for colorado when she moved back to PA). He is coming back within a month (damnit anyhow). Well I ended the convo by saying "hey, here is my IM name, why don't you drop me a line" (I figured giving her MY IM name, not only puts the ball in her court, but it also will show if I am "just a customer" or if she is going farther. Also, I have found out through past experience AND by this site that women are more confident over the net). Just figured I would update what's been going on.

Edit: When I gave her my IM name, she said "Here, have mine!" But I made SURE I emphisized on her that she should drop me a line if she wants to talk.

Edit 2: NSUballer, I goto Pennsylvania State University
