"Stop Asking Your Friends What to Text Her"

Your buddy Dave has been single for three years and thinks "hey u up" is a valid strategy. Your other buddy Mike just got dumped and told you to "just be yourself."

You showed them her text. You asked them to decode the emoji. You drafted four responses and sent the screenshot to the group chat for a vote.

She's been waiting forty minutes.

Put the phone down. Stop crowdsourcing your love life. Type something that sounds like you. Hit send. Then go do literally anything else with your evening.

Dude, you crack me up. Do you attract any chicks with this attitude?
Cesare, you just don't get it. Your thinking is flawed. I'm not gonna explain it. I think it best people come to some realizations on their own.

And yea, I attract chicks, I assure you. They chase and usually don't catch me, if they do it is only for a brief period of time. I frustrate the hell out of them, this is what causes them to fall for me. They become obsessed, and I become turned off.

“The 22 Rules That Flip the Script With Women… And How You Can Use Them Tonight”

Most guys accidentally kill attraction before they even speak. They assume they need a bigger bank account, a better physique, or smoother lines. They miss the point.

Female desire operates on a specific set of psychological triggers.  Break them, and you're invisible. Follow them, and you become magnetic.

I learned this the hard way. Years of freezing up. Getting friend-zoned. Watching other guys walk away with the girl I wanted. Then I discovered a set of 22 simple rules that rewired my entire approach.

"Joint" does NOT mean it's a 50/50 deal - it means that each person is 100% responsible. (Think about joint credit cards). So, when you have kids, everyone should be prepared to raise them on their own - without complaint. With the joy that comes with being a parent.
I don't know if you're referring to what I said or not, but if you are then you missed what I was saying. She had three kids when her ex ran off and took all the money. All I was trying to illustrate is that she had herself and three young mouths to feed, a home to pay for, electricity to pay for, all kinds of other bills -- and he left her without a dime.

What he did (running off and taking everything) would be bad enough if it was just her, but he did it to her and three kids. To me, that just amplifies what he did. That's the only reason I mentioned the kids.

Giovanni,

I wasn't referring to the guy that took the money and ran - I agree with your statements. Guys who take all of the money are breaking the law and are likely to get in trouble with a judge. I was speaking more to another comment about a woman who had four kids and the author of the post was eliciting sympathy for her being a single mom.

I got divorced in North Carolina and it was uncontested, meaning that my ex-wife and I worked out the distribution of our assets in a Separation Agreement, without having a judge step in to decide for us. All the judge did was sign off on the petition to end the marriage. It was a lot cheaper that way, and saved me a lot of grief (and money). And my ex never once considered asking for alimony. I think she wanted to cut ties and burn bridges. So, while this chapter in my life was a lot more painful than other chapters, I wasn't cleaned out and there was no way she would have succeeded if she'd tried.

I don't know about most states in the US, but in North Carolina, if the divorce is contested (i.e., a judge has to decide on who gets what), then distribution of assets is usually "equitable" not "equal." This means that the judge could decide a 60-40 split of assets, or whatever he thinks is equitable. It isn't always 50-50, but that's probably the norm.

Gotcha.

"I just moved here from Florida."

That sentence contains at least five follow-up questions she WANTS you to ask. Where in Florida? What brought you here? How long have you been in the area? What do you miss? How does it compare to here?

She handed them to you on a silver platter. And you said, "Oh cool. I come here every week. I love this band. Ummm... pretty crowded tonight."

She smiled politely. Nodded. And never texted you back.

I was that guy for years. Talking too much. Listening too little. Panicking about my next sentence while she was literally feeding me the answers.

Then I found 22 rules that fixed the whole thing. Rule number one: shut up and listen. She'll tell you exactly what to say.

However, your attitude conveys to me that you've got low self esteem and don't trust in your abilities to attract a great girl; in which case you know that you'll probably settle for some trailer trash reject and you're arguing that a pre-nup is your best form of protection.
I simply cannot resist replying to this, I wasn't going to at first but it really makes me laugh.

Here is the problem though: My only reply is: hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

We are here to discuss something important, and not play "who is the retard?"

Rollo, given all you wrote, what made you marry then?
To answer your question, i think "Kids and stability" are two big reasons guys get married... we are taught that we cant be stable without a woman to take care of us.. and some of this is true..imagine being 50 and alone..what would you do?
maybe he was in love when he got married

wow.....good thread

i've been married and divorced 3 times and i can't remember many good moments from either. sex never flowed in any of them.
the sex and money arguments were constant.
yep, alimony is very alive in ohio.

to anyone thinking of marriage:
the main question to yourself and posted by others is "what's in it for me?" you will struggle to answer this question honestly.

Wait, there are Western men who still believe in marriage here? Jeeezus ,even my mother pulled me aside and told me NEVER marry, and that was like 20 years ago when it wasnt half as a joke for a man as it is today.

Rollo Tomassi that was one of the most no nonsense , descriptive posts on marriage I've read on here, you explain what its all about perfectly and I believe it should be mandatory reading , definately Bible material.

PK, I didn't even know you had posted anything in tips til you replied here, I sware. I just don't go over there much. I did read your tip after you replied here, I know it's about me, that's OK. You are entitled to your opinion.

I'm not trying to bust your chops, we simply disagree. From my experience, most girls don't deal well w/ disagreement/hearing NO from guys. Because most guys won't do it/say it. Therefore the women have become conditioned. I think this what we have here. I was going to give a lengthy response, but I just don't feel like it. If I do I'll post it in tips.

"Nervous Around Beautiful Women? There's a Rule for That"

I could talk to any woman I wasn't attracted to. Charming, funny, relaxed. Then a gorgeous woman looked my way and I'd become a sweating, babbling mess.

The fix took me years to find and ten minutes to learn. Nervousness and excitement are the same physical state — pounding heart, adrenaline, flushed face. Your brain just picks the label. And you can pick a better one.

Rule 16 shows you how. You feel the nerves, relabel them as excitement, and let that energy pour out as enthusiasm. Women notice the guy radiating it. They always do.
