I was trying to overlook that viewpoint because they can be really silly younger. If you can catch her and mold her it's your best shot at having a woman grow with you. I see that now.

That's what I had in mind when at 28, got with a 19 year old French girl and moved to France. That relationship lasted 16 years...the last 8 in marriage. I wish that I was 10 years younger, but I'd much rather be single in France than back in the states.

Today they want an already built out man to come take advantage of all his hard work and sacrifice. You can't appreciate what it took to build it if you came for the spoils.

I dont know if that’s true... in the old days, a woman just had less options, but they gold dug just as much as today.

If you listen to old songs, many of them talk about cold-hearted or manipulative women.

No homo, but of all the guys you know, how many of them would you trust enough to be in a relationship with if you were physically/emotionally weak and constantly getting hit on all the time? So many guys are insecure and have massive character flaws.

I think what happens is that girls flit around to whatever feels good and gets them excited, until they hit a wall and their anxiety about their biological clock puts them into hardcore marriage-seeking mode.

Girls need a boyfriend to show off to their friends, then when their friends get married, they need someone to put a ring on their finger.

The guy with the stable job who doesn’t excite them as much is what they eventually choose.

Many of them might not like the guy that much, but they prefer him to perpetual singlehood.

Being that I’ve been a massive man*****, if I was a girl, I would probably slut it up in my early 20s too. There’s no real harm in doing it.

There used to be social consequences (in the form of ostracism) that just don’t exist in today’s hedonistic environment.

I wish I could say that was the truth because that would finally explain it and validate what all the experts say...but that wasn't the case. In fact, I have no f*cking clue what really was the cause of it. The only thing I can think of is that once I thought they were locked down with me I let my guard down in the sense that I trusted them and let them do their sh*t (hanging out with friends etc) while I was busy doing mine (career, hobbies etc). But I mean how long can you keep your guard up if 9yrs isn't long enough. At some point you want to live life and not be playing games. I'm going to have to chalk them up as broken/low-quality women. Or may be I am an @sshole as they told me...who didn't appreciate them, didn't bring them flowers or said thank yous for things they did (cooking, cleaning etc). Who the hell knows? I stopped giving f*cks.

One of them has been in a LTR going on about 7yrs now, the second is single riding the c0ck carousel and the third, lost contact many moons ago.

I'd say a 9 year relationship is a pretty long time, I wouldn't beat yourself up over that. I bet it's a longer relationship than most guys here have had. Most relationships have shelf lives, you just have to accept it. People used to stay in marriages long after the dopamine rush had run out, because they had built something together, a family, had kids, and were invested in each other.

Males will tend to hang in there, because they want things to be successful (including their relationships). It's odd, because the community tells us that men want to spread their seed, but they are more likely to stay with one woman once they've made the commitment. Whereas monogamy is supposedly the "woman's frame", yet the woman is the one to usually file for divorce or initiate the breakup. Seems backwards.
