"She Laughed All Night. Then She Ghosted You. Here's Why."

Dinner ran three hours. She laughed at everything. You walked her to her car thinking this one's locked in.

Then: nothing. Two texts. No reply. What happened?

You did what most men do on a great date. You filled every silence, answered every question, and left her with nothing to wonder about. No mystery. Nothing to sit with when she got home.

Rule 3 of the "22 Rules" changes the ending: tell her a little, hold back the rest, and let her imagination do the chasing. The ghosting stops too.

Hi all,

I've lurked around here for quite some time, figured I could give this a shot. I'm a 20 year old student from Vancouver, Canada who's never been great with women, but up until now has always had one or two that I was working. I don't want this to just be about getting girls though, even though for me that can be a big part of life.. I want to improve in a lot of facets, so that I can become a true DJ (or alpha male, or w/e u wanna call it).

Below are a list of things that I would like to accomplish, and that I think will help me be on the way to becoming a DJ:

-Figure out my life path/career
-Travel overseas
-Make new, interesting friends
-Learn guitar
-Buy a car
-Get a gf
-Learn to swim
-Re-learn how to play piano
-Learn how to bike well
-Get in very good physical shape
-Learn how to fix things around the house
-Learn how to cook well
-Learn how to dance
-Move out(eventually)
-Dress better
-Be more outgoing & friendly

I wanna be that guy that people look at and know that he's got his life together, that he's so laid back because he knows that his life is good and that he's going the right way. In order to do this, I'm going to start setting some short and long term goals in order to make this happen..

Long term goals:
Figure out what to do with my life
How to achieve this: Look into different careers and the route to get there, see if it's feasible and something worth doing. Look intensively into at least one different career each week.

Travel Overseas
Plans have started for a summer trip to Europe with my friend next summer. Currently saving up money and looking into countries we want to go to. I'm going to try to save every paycheck I make for this trip, and use money from tennis lessons for current expenses.

Be a more out-going person
This one's going to be tough. Currently I'm stuck in a comfort zone of doing the same things week in week out with the same people, and my friends are all like this too. We don't naturally like conversation with strangers, not really our style I guess. Need to figure out a way to get past this.

Become more competent around the house
I need to work on this a lot. Currently learning how to cook, gonna be making my own breakfast every morning, and try to help with dinner at least once or twice a week. Just learned how to wash and iron my own clothes, gonna try to do that as well. Gotta get out of the habit of my mom doing everything.

Dress Better
Gonna go shopping next weekend for summer clothes. Gonna look ballin'.

Get in Good Shape
Recently began going to the gym 5 times per week with a friend who's been pushing me. Squatted 2 plates a couple days ago, never done that before so I'm pretty happy so far in this category, still got work left though.

Get a gf
This will come in time when I have more self confidence, since my confidence right now is pretty low. Need to accomplish a few things first in order to have success talking with women, because I have initial attraction all the time, just can't get past that stage and into the relationship phase. Will continue to practice this, ask for girls numbers and text them more often.

So that's it for now, I'll be providing updates of any progress I make, and through trial and error, hopefully I'll be able to better myself.

"You'll Never Feel READY to Walk Over"

Next Monday you'll feel more confident. After the gym you'll feel more confident. After one more drink you'll feel more confident. After you get a better haircut, a better jacket, a better job.

You've been "getting ready" for two years.

She's standing ten feet away right now. She'll be gone in four minutes. No amount of preparation will manufacture the courage that only comes from moving your feet.

Walk over. Stumble through the first sentence. Let it be clumsy. Let it be imperfect. You will feel more alive in those ten seconds than you have all month.

Waking up late just ruins your day. I had plenty of chances to wake up on time, or early even, and I kept hitting snooze until I had to rush just to make it on time. If i woke up earlier, I could get myself looking nice for work, have time to relax and think about my day, and make a good breakfast to start my day off right. From now on, I'll be waking up at 6 AM sharp, no exceptions. To do this, I will be setting an alarm at 9:45 PM at night to remind me to GO TO BED lol, that way I won't feel the need to sleep in.

Doing a work term right now, they just offered to keep me there for an additional 4 months (i have done 1 month out of the 4 they originally offered me). Thinking about taking the offer, they pay pretty well.. on the other hand, do I want to be tied down to the same job for 7 more months? I'll have to make the decision soon.

Went to the gym after work today, worked out my back. Deadlifted 245 x 2 x 5, pretty happy with that even though that's what I did last week. Going for 255 next week for sure.

I've begun reading lately, trying to expand my horizons lol. Finished reading Old Man and the Sea by Hemingway, it was pretty good even though I didn't know half of the nautical terms lol. Now I'm on to The Other Side of Paradise by Fitzgerald, really liking it so far, I feel like I can relate to the main character pretty well (we both have high expectations of ourselves yet have seemingly low confidence, esp around women).

Nothing to report in terms of girls, gonna be going to a house party this Friday tho so hopefully there will be some there. If there are I'll do a field report.

Been reading a lot of Pook on this site, all i can say is the dude is inspiring. Really kicks me in my ass and makes me wanna show the world who's boss. Definitely the best place to start is by reading his stuff. In fact, that's what I"ll do now before I sleep.

Quick Thought:

Reading a few posts on these boards, I think a common theme when it comes to the problems people have is keeping the girl interested. Girls are interested in guys who are interesting. I haven't met many guys who wheel chicks and yet have nothing they are passionate about.

If you are really into something, lets say music, letting a girl into that part of your life shows her your passionate side and if you like something you'll probably be confident when you are doing it, so she'll be eating that up. Women don't want men to conform to what they want to do, because there's very few women out there who have real passions (especially at young ages). They wanna find a man who DOES have passion, because they respect and admire that.
