you stated in ur post for cuttin up that low card diets dont help for working out and lifting how is that so ? when ur on a low carb diet u consume alot of protein and doesnt that help muscle growth or sumthing ?

Diesel weighed in on this at one point--you'll have to do a search because I'm too lazy. But basically he says (and I agree) that the high protein aspect of a low carb diet is golden (just look at the amount of protein he recommends in that thread), BUT a truly near-zero carb diet is no good because your lifting will suffer. Dr. Atkins never said "oh yeah, go ahead and load up on carbs right before and right after you lift" but that's exactly what's necessary, even when you're "cutting" (that word's not as popular around here with Diesel having moved on).
