All of these sites are textbook examples of Beta Game.

So true, and a good word to keep in mind, beta game. Funny how this strategy appears in so many ways through the ages. The inverted values, the resentment, the low badmouthing the high as a strategy for getting ahead.

That they are in fact using this as beta game is proven by how the group creator had to add the extra instructions I quoted above:

You see that all the time in internet forums, by the way. Some guy gets tired of the games women play and makes a thread about it, or about laws catering to feminism, or something he read in the newspaper. A feminist jumps in to attack his character instead of his arguments - and is joined by one or two "men" hoping to score with her if they praise women and curse the first guy. It's beta game.
